I have enough money!!!! Now only to find it.

 

I finally bought one today, and I have just one question. What the heck are you supposed to do with the grappling hooks? Just let them hang there? I'll probably just cut them off unless I can figure out what to do with them.

 

i just cut them off IMO they are pointless unless you are hanging it up....and i didn't have any material strong enough to hang it up

 

Yah, I'm gonna cut them off soon too They're just ugly.

 

I don't like the grappling hooks either. They should have put a little crank on the inside so that you could roll them up.

 

Well, I finally saw the Gunship yesterday. I only had a few bucks on me at the time, but Target probably had about sixteen of them, so maybe I'll go back today and pick one up.

 

You can wrap the rope around the post things the slot in the middle lets yu place the hooks on the posts on the GS

 

Neck: "MAYBE"??? How about, "I AM going to go pick one up later"?

teh gunship is awesome!! my best bud bought it for me and it is SOOOOO big it barely has a spot big enough for it in my already packed room!

 

Ever notice how much teh gunship looks like a "Dust Buster?"

You know what would be cool? To have a chest like in Indian and the Cupboard where you put your plastic figures in and they come alive.

Don't cut the rope off on your gunship! Just follow the info below (info from www.artoosnews.com) for a fix on this problem.

"Grappling With The Gunship
I received my Republic Gunship today from Wal-Mart.com and man is this thing impressive! What I wanted to spread the word about is the Grappling Hook. As YakFace has reported in their review the excess rope for the grappling hook does not fit around the hook that you are supposed to use. I tried to wrap up the rope and make it look somewhat decent, but, after 20 minutes I gave up. I then figured out a way to "hide" the rope. With a little effort and a Sewing needle I was able to push the Rope back through the hole it was coming out of. I did this by slowly feeding the rope backwards through the hole, and where the opening is I used a sewing needle to move the rope around so it wouldn't bunch up. What I got was a lot better looking then having what amounts to a ball of yarn attached to the Gunship. It took me about 15 minutes to do this and a lot of patience. So there is another option to retracting the gunship rope rather then just wrapping it around the supplied hook. Click on the thumbnail below to check out the fruits of my labor."

That's a great idea I hadn thought of...goes to dresser and gets his sewing needle.......yes I keep sewing stuff in my dresser

I already cut them off too. Of course, I did that after I saw that above picture. It looks exactly like it does in the movie now, and I'm very glad to have cut them off.

 

^ GAH! [face_shocked] You mean you neutered your gunship by performing grapple hook-ectomy? [face_shocked] I am not going to cut my grapple hooks off... I am leaving my gunship the way God... errr... Hasbro created it.

If they were girl babies I'd name them all Cloe, and if they were boys I'd name them Gunther.

Although I did feel weird mutilating the very thing I'd waited months for, but now I'm very happy with how it looks.
