    "Blue Milk: Lactose Beyond Imagination"

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict/hope that they're announcing the project now so that they can save a "And it'll be available to purchase... right now, in the Del Rey booth" surprise announcement for Celebration (or they'll announce the same tomorrow to let us know it'll be available in advance there).

Longshot, but given how long fans have wanted a new, true anthology book, it would time well as a surprise gift for the fans.

If they bring back the "Tales of" series I will throw a freaking party.

Or is this perhaps some 'Journey to the Last Jedi' series with a specific focus on Luke Skywalker? It seems unlikely to be a 'Tales' anthology with that sheer number of authors (although it is entirely possible and I may regret having written this come tomorrow)! Either way, this is so exciting! I'm sure it will be amazing!

All I can say is that I am intrigued. I can't even begin to speculate what we might be getting here.

Recall that galaxy comes from the Greek word for "milk." And objects in space moving towards you undergo blue shift.

    Tinfoil hats, everyone!

Sure, except not all of us can go to celebration. Also, they're releasing a new book the week of celebration as it is, which has a celebration exclusive variant cover. I don't see the need to have another brand-new book on their table.

I obtained the audiobooks (all three!) from my local library to listen to on the way to and back from Celebration. I can't wait to hear them.

Presumably it'd be an early release for Celebration, with an actual release date for everyone else afterwards. Doesn't step on Thrawn's release and it wouldn't be the first time a book was released at Celebration or Comic-Con early.

    I wish.

I still hold out hope that we may see a couple or three legends novels per year some day in the future.

A couple or three a year? I'm guessing one every couple/few years would be the best people could hope for. You have to remember that if they put out a legends novel that would take up a slot for a novel they could make as a tie in to the movies.

No No. Del Rey is taking over the horrendous evilnous that Jay Bonansinga has turned the Walking Dead book series into and is bringing Lilly Caul back some respect.

Edit....Oop my bad. Didn't know Alien Exodus was an actual Star Wars title in production at one time.

Maybe because it's the SW 40th celebration they are doing an anthology book with short stories that crossover the spam of SW from APM to TLJ, and maybe while they're 19 authors they're working on couples for each story so we may have around 9 stories?

I'd be fine with side short stories involving characters from the whole saga, I don't think that they're only focusing between ROTJ - TLJ, who knows, tomorrow we will find out, damn, the SW books are so cool and such an amazing piece of the mythology.

Wait, let's go even further back. What was the very first, original, canceled SW project? ... The film adaptation of Splinter of the Mind's Eye? Yeah, let's go with that. This project is that.

I have always wanted another book set during the classic trilogy!

YUGE /s guys I am not a fan of this instantly.

I mean, c'mon. Can we get past the OT (focus)? This one is especially heinous because I am interested in what is going on in this time period, but what this anthology is specifically doing is dumb.
