Hey all! Just thought I'd take a page from TalonCard's book and help sort out teh timeline. I'm doing the period inbetween ESB and ROTJ, an area hotly contested between the Marvel comics, SOTE, and others. Im primarily basing my stuff on the Ultimate Timeline at tfn, See it here http://www.theforce.net/timeline/SOTE.shtml

    Okay, here we go...

    Chapter One: Aftermath

It is after Luke Skywalker has been rescued from Cloud City and Han Solo was frozen in Carbonite. After the Battle of Hoth, the Rebel fleet has regrouped at a secret, remote rendevouz point near a protostar nebula thing. Lando Calrissian, newly a member of the Alliance, has gone off with Chewbacca aboard the Millennium Falcon to intercept the bounty hunter Boba Fett. Several minutes after watching the Falcon leave, Luke, Leia, Artoo and Threepio are contacted by General Madine, the fleet has been spotted by an Imperial Strike Cruiser. Fortunatly, its communications are jammed, preventing it from reporting the fleets location to the Imperial Fleet. Luke wants to rush out and help Rogue Squadron destroy it, but hasen't acclimated to his new hand yet. The Strike Crusier is destroyed by the Rogues, and General Madine orders the fleet to change course as a precaution.

Soon after, Luke, now able to accuratly use his new hand, goes on patrol in the space around the fleet. He comes across a Rebel Blockade Runner returning to the fleet. However, the ship is under the control of a murderous probe droid, upgraded and reprogrammed by Admiral Damon Krell to board starships, kill the crew, and take over. The probe now intends to take the ship into the heart of the fleet and self destruct, causing great damage. Luke and Artoo board the ship and the probe, realizing that it has Luke Skywalker aboard, turns around and heads for Krell's Star Destroyer, intending to bring him into Impoerial custody. Luke and Artoo escape in a lifepod, just before it jumps to hyperspace, and the probe and ship crash into Krell's ship, destroying it. Luke returns to the fleet.

In the meantime, Lando and Chewie travel through a backwards, remote sector, on the search for Fett his charge. All at once, the Falcon's hyperdrive malfunctions, and the ship is thrown through an odd "rent" in the very fabric of space-time. They emerge in an odd dimension full of colorful beams of light and a city, built on an asteroid with a jungle climate. It is here they meet the old Rebel hero, Cody Sunn-Childe, an alien with incredible phsycic abilities, and all the men he once commanded. Sunn-Childe explains that they gave up fighting and retired to the pocket dimension, because they detested violence. Lando is irritated at Sunn-Childe's pacifism, even though he fixes the Falcon's hyperdrive. Unfortunatly, a patrol of six Star Destroyer under the command of the female Captain Plikk detects the hole in space and travels thru it, using up nearly all their power in the process. Lando and Chewie tkae off in the Falcon to fight them. As his paradise is torn down around him, Sunn-Childe snaps and uses his powers to create huge space monsters that attack the Imperial ships. Realizing what he's done, he then calls them back. Defenseless, his city is destroyed by them, which saps all their power. Chewie and Lando mourn his death and then travel back top normal space through the rapidly shrinking rent, leaving Plikk's ships to float powerlessly forever in the void. The hunt for Han goes on.

The Empire uses a new, large Warbot against Allaiance troops at Xeron. One of the 'bots is captured, and Luke and the droids are sent to make a schematic of it. Artoo accidently damages the Warbot, and he, Threepio and Luke od to a station called Kligson's Moon, or Droid World, managed by the cyborg Kligson, to get it repaired. After a droid rebellion on the station which Artoo and threepio help stop, Kligson repairs the Warbot and activates his stations engines, departing for the unknown. Luke and the droids return to the fleet, and the droids are then sent out with Leia and Rebel diplomat Viscoun

Um, I don't have much info on those. Can you give me some info? Also, does "Sweetheart Contract" (Marvel 83) take place before or after ROTJ? Cause I've always thought after, but the Timeline says before...

I can work up some info of the ESB-ROTJ levels of Rogue Leader for ya, but for the other two you'll have to reference Timetales or something, since I don't have either game.

Still, they have events that tie into a couple key events in that era that would require some working to fit em all togther (DS2 plan recovery, Tyderium abduction, etc)

Of course, there's also the matter of figuring out which version of the RL Tyderium level is part of continuity (you can fly it during the day in a Y-WIng or at night in a snowspeeder).

Good work! I'd always wondered how that one part of the SOTME comic fit with the first post-TESB Marvel issue.

Stay sharp, because there are several Marvel issues published out of sequence that are almost impossible to place. :)

Any clues on when those take place? Right after Hoth or before Endor? Oh well, I van always revise my stuff. Heres the next part

    Chapter 2: Plague

Lando and Chewbacca have been on the hunt for Han Solo for a while now, hopping about the outer rim, checking various underworld sources, attempting to find where Fett is hiding out with Han. but so far, the bounty hunter has wisely stayed hidden. It seems as if the entire galaxy wants the pair to never find Han, they keep dropping out of hypaespace in areas newly under the Empire's control. After they are attacked by a bunch of TIEs, they are narrowly rescued by a Rebel Blockade Runner, with a solemn Leia on board! She askes them to accompany her back to the Alliance's temporary base on the volcanic planet of Golrath, newly established after the Rebels lost Hoth. Once in the base, an abandoned magma smelting plant, they learn that Luke and several other Rebels have contracted a disease that results in skin coloration and eyes turning a sickly shade of crimson, a catonic state, and ultimately death. Alliance med-techs dubbed it "The Crimson Forever", for lack of a better name. Only Luke remains alive, and he is in a coma-like state. Apparantly, he and the others had boarded a Star Destroyer that had lumbered into the Golrath system, and had found the crew all dead. they found an odd, Crimson jewel that appears to be the source of the contagion. She then tells Lando and chewie why she went to such great lengths to find them. Han once told her of a misadventure he and Chewie had that took them beyond the known galaxy, invoving two red gems. Chewie tells them of how he and han were abducted by an alien named Klysk who attempted to use them to steal two jewels from the Red Nebula, a star cluster that was once part of the galaxy proper but was severed in a great cosmic catylism. Lando, Chewie, Leia and the droids heaf for the Nebula in hopes of finding a cure.

more later, ive gotta play paintball.

There are five RL levels between ESB and ROTJ-

Prisons of the Maw: The Rogues help free some prisoners in a hidden asteroid prison near the Maw blackhole cluster near Kessel.

Razor Rendezvous: A Corellian Corvette called the Razor is carrying a stolen Imperial computer. The Nebulon-B Frigate Redemption is set to meet with the Razor at Kothlis to retrieve the computer, which will then be transferred to Bothan techs to decrypt.
However, upon exiting hyperspace, the Redemption and it's B-Wing & X-Wing flying Rogue escort find an ISD is right on top of the Razor.
The Rebels managed to take down the shield generators and take out the bridge of the ISD- sending it plumeting into Kothlis's atmosphere. Unfortunately, the Razor was already aboard the ISD too.

Vengeance on Kothlis: The Rogues fly cover for Crix Madine's commandos, who are attempting to recover the computer from the wreckage.
Surviving Imperial forces (TIE's and Walkers) put up a fight, but are eventually defeated.

Imperial Academey Heist: The decoded computer was revealed that the Imperials are building a second Death Star. In order to get a team of Rebels onto the surface of the moon to disable the shield protecting it, an Imperial shuttle with the proper codes must be acquired.
The Rogues set out to steal the shuttle Tyderium from the Imperial Academy on Prefsbel(t?) IV.
They either use Y-Wings during the early morning to fly under sensor sweeps, or use snowspeeders at night during the cover of fog.

Raid on Bespin: With the Rebel fleet preparing to launch an assault on the DS2, they need to acquire Tibanna gas from Bespin to power their weapons.
With the city under Imprial control, Lando has little reservations about authorizing a raid on the city.
A-Wing-flying Rogues cover Rebel transports from automated defenses and TIEs as the transports dock with mining platforms to collect gas containers.
Eventually, they make their way to the city itself, and disable three key power generators to bring down the city's defenses, allowing the transports to get to platforms closer to the city.

Wedge leads all the missions BTW.

That's all of em. I can provide more details if you need em.

Battle 1 of TIE Fighter takes place in the days immidiately following Hoth's evacuation, which Battle 13 ends during the battle for Endor.

    Thanx all!

    Chapter 2 cntnd:

When approaching the Red Nebula, a House of Tagge Mining Explorer shows up on the Falcon's sensors. The ship is hwavaly damaged and is drifting without power. In hopes they might find a cure for the Crimson Forever, Lando and Leia suit up and board the vessel and not only find the ships crew dead from the effects of the disease, but also a gang of bounty hunters (including Bossk, Dengar, IG-88, Zuckuss and 4-LOM) in the employ of Domina Tagge (who is also there)! Domina tells of why she is near the nebula. Still furious at Luke and Vader(and their respective governments) for the death of her brothers,
Domina sought a way to destroy them both. so after hearing about the Gems in the Red Nebula, Domina hired the bounty hunters and set off to claim them. But Vader had heard about her little venture, and sent and Imperator class Star Destroyer after her. When they caught her, she was just leaving the Nebula, and in the ensuing negotiations, she gave the ship the location of the Alliance's secret base on Golrath and one gem. By the time the Imperials reached Golrath, they were all dead, and then Luke was infected yadda yadda yadda. She says that the gems are mates of sorts, and when apart they project a negative aura which manifests itself as the Crimson forever. Domina, the bounty hunters, and the gem are taken back to Golrath and reunited, causing the effect of the Crimson Forever to lift. Only Luke still survived, as he doesn't try to fight the disease. In the end, the two gems are put aboard the Star Destroyer, which is then sent out of the galaxy at hyperspeed(which doesn't make a lot of sense, I would have dumped the gems in a black hole and then kept the Destroyer or the Alliance fleet...) and Domina and her bounty hunters are allowed a small escape ship. Before they leave, Lando tells the hunters that since Domina commited crimes against the Empire, there would likely be a price on her head. While it is unknown if Domina was captured by the Empire, it seems likely.

It's been a while since I played XWA, but the last several missions take place against the second Death Star. I'm not really sure when it starts, but I'm fairly sure it's post-Hoth.

Chapter 3: The Taking of the Tarkin

After Luke recovered from the effects of the Crimson Forever, the Alliance abandodned their base on Golrath and began the search for a new one. Luke, Artoo, Leia, and Threepio helped in the search, while Lando and Chewie continued in the search for Han Solo (which ws hindered when they were unable to capture and question the gunrunner Shem Lern about Fett's whereabouts). The others had similar problems, one planet was rife with Gundarks, another housed an Imperial Comm beacon and so on. It was at this time Captain Maraba Tev accepted a dangerous spy mission into the Patriim system, to examine what was said t be some sort of Imperial Operation there. His ship returned to his frigate on autopilot, Tev had died of internal injuries while making his escape. In his possesion was a message pod with startling information on it. Alliance command recalled the 7 Star Warriors from their various assignments, and they were briefed on Tev's findings. The Empire was building a massive superweapon, a mobile superlaser cannon (much like the later Darksaber) named the Tarkin. Luke, Leia, Lando, Chewie and the droids were sent to the Patriim system to infiltrate the Tarkin and destroy it. At the same time, unrest was growing withion the Imperial officer corps. Furious at Vader's rampant killing of officers, a group led by Imperial Captain Voal stationed on the Tarkin vowed to kill Vader. The Millenium Falcon dropped out mof lightspeed in the Patriim system, and landed on the planet Hockaleg, above which the Tarkin was constructed. Disguised as workers, Luke, Leia, Chewie amd the droids went aboard, while Lando stayed behind. Onboard, Luke planned to plant explosives in the Tarkin's reactors, but was unable to do so because one of the members of the group plotting to kill Vader opened an airlock near Vader, who had been lying in wait for Luke. While Luke ducked into a service lift, Vader was nearly sucked out into space before he used the Force to allow himself to walk down the rapidly decomppressing corridor. While Chewie and the droids deactivated the tractor beam, Leia found herself in the superlaser's inner workings. She then switched the polarity of the superlaser and met back up with the others. They escaped aboard a shuttle and were picked up by Lando. But a familiar bent-winged TIE fighter was on there tail, with Vader at the helm. To throw him off their tail, Luke jettisoned the Falcon's water supply, which became large ice crystals that destroyed Vader;s ship, but left him alive.
On the Tarkin, the Falcon was targeted, and the fire order was given. The Tarkin promptly exploded, because of the superlaser's reverse polarity, it had essentialy shot itself. The Rebels headed triumphently back to the fleet.

Chapter 4: The War Drags On

The Alliance took the war to the Empire, striking out with all their might. Wedge Antilles led Rogue Squadron, newly rebuilt after Hoth, with pilots such as Gemmer, Alph, Thorben, Wald, and Liutenant Shira Brie. The group flew many successful missions, including one in which they freed prisoners from an asteroid near Kessel. Wedge was isolated from Alliance main forces on top secret missions for so long, many other Rebels thought he had died! When he came back, Wedge enjoyed making up stories about why he was gone, such as one where he was stranded on Hoth, Wes Janson died, and he had fought against scravanger Arns Grimraker. In the meantime, Rebel spies reported an increase in Imperial activity in the Shiva system, an area on the very edge of known space. Princess Leia was sent aboard a starship to the system to check it out. Hearing about an incredible power source on the distant planet of Ventooine, Luke, Lando, and Threepio were sent in a scout Y-Wing to find it.

Things did not go as planned, for either group. Upon entering the Shiva system, Leia's ship struck an Imperial minefield and was destroyed. Leia escaped in a shuttle, crashing on Shiva 4. When the pthers reached Ventooine, they found a contingent of Stormtroopers there! After she crashed, Leia was beset upon by orange-skinned T'Syriel raiders who chase her across the landscape. She was recued by a man named Aron, warlord of the Calian Confederacy. As they traveled to his home city, they came across another city, which had been destryed by what Leia identifies as an Imperial anti-matter bomb. Once back at his city, Leia begins to grow closer to Aron. Because of the bobmbed city, tensions begin to stir between the various Shivan tribes. Menawhile on Ventooine, Luke and gang are hiding from the Empire in an old temple, where they find a statue of...Han Solo! An alien priest relates them the story (through a recording rock) of how Han Solo had freed the people of Ventooine from the tyranny of the Satabs. The Satabs were rulers that used a device, worn around the neck, called the Shadshine. It gave them incredible elemental powers, which they abused. It had been the Shadeshine that the Rebellion and Empire had heard about as the "incredible power source". It turns out, Han had destroyed the Shadeshine and set the Ventoonians free. Luke, Lando, and Threepio left Ventooine, without the power source, but having touched a long lost friend. By this time, Leia's mission had been missing for a few weeks. Luke, Lando, Chewie and the droids set off to acertain their fate. On Shiva, things were grim. Betrayed by Aron's friend Delois, Leia and Aron were captured by forces of Imperial General Sk'ar, a massive purple alien wearing a gold helmet, belt, and gauntlet (otherwise he's naked. Yup, this suckas lame). He reaveals that the Empire plans to cause a war on Shiva 4 (by nuking various cities, causing blames yadda yadda yadda) and then use the toughend natives as soldiers for the Empire. And now, he plans to destroy Aron's city! Oh no! Sk'ar leaves to drop da bomb, and Aron and Leia escape. They crash on Sk'ar's Shivan airship and attempt to disarm the bomb. They recieve some help when the Falcon arrives, and Leia disarms the bomb and the Great Purple General is killed. Amid the celabration, they learn of a Imperator class Star Destryer on its way to Base Delta Zero (thats Imp terminology that means destroy a planetary surface, for all u dim-witted readers :) )! Double oh no!!! The Falcon fights the Destroyer in the outer Shiva system, and is chased by it towards a black hole!!! Triple Oh No!!! Using the Force, Luke takes a perilious course around the hole, and the Star Destroyer breaks apart and goes down da hole. After saying goodbye on Shiva, the gang heads back to the fleet.

Hey, in ALTA 4, on page 34, first panel, why is Lando so small? I relation to Luke, he's like less then a foot tall! But whatever, back to

    Chapter 5: Settling Down

Ever since the Empire drove them off Hoth, the Rebels had lacked a permanant base. They had taken a few temporary ones, such as Golrath, but those lacked accomadation for the majority of the Alliance's forces. Hopping through the Outer Rim, Rebel scouts locate a heavily forested world called Arbra, long forgotten by the rest of the galaxy. The Rebel fleet arrives in the Arbran system, and a survey team led by Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and Threepio set down on the planet to explore areas for bases. The fleet spreads out through the system so they won't be taken by suprise, and Lando returns to Cloud City on the Falcon to see what has become of it. Luke, meanwhile, is left to write reports of the Tarkin and Shiva missions. On Arbra, Leia's team discovers that a species of Arbran rabbit things, called Hoojibs, are actually intelligent and telepathic (Mind reading rabbits, wowie!) and absorb energy directly, rather then taking it in through food. After draining all the Rebel's equipment, the Hoojib Spokesmind, Plif, explains that the Hoojibs did so because they were driven out of their cave by a huge winged slug thing from space called the Slivilith, which sought the warm geothermal power rods that the Hoojibs chewed on to absorb energy. Leia and her team defeat the monster with help from the Hoojibs, and the Rebels discover the Hoojib cave would be a neat-o place to have a base, what with its power rods and shelter from orbit. Plif allows the Alliance to stay indefinatly as guests. Leia transmits this to the Rebel fleet, and the weary Rebel fleet returns to Arbra.
Menawhile, Lando arrives back at Cloud City, to find it completly deserted. He is then attacked by a frnzied Lobot, whose cranial unit appears to be damaged. Simultaneusly, an Imperial craft lands and debarks Captain Treece and a squad of demolitions expert Stormtroopers. On the run from Lobot, LAndo stubles across them and is attacked. He freezes several Troopers in Carbonite. Back on arbra, the Alliance is just beginning to bring their heavy equipment into the base now dubbed "Hole in the Rock" by Rebel troops. Worried that Lando hasen't come back yet (its like only been a few days, Luke, sheesh), Luke and Liutenant Shira Brie are granted permission by Leia to go after him. Leia agrees, but is slightly irritated at Lukes friendly attentions towards Brie.
