From V: The Second Generation To V: The Reboot

Its official V fans! Production will start soon on a new V mini-series. The producer of 4400 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is behind the new V production. I'm not clear on whether this new V mini-series is connected to the recently released novel V: The Second Generation by V creator Kenneth Johnson. It may or may not be. From the report I read it seems that this new V mini-series might be a complete reboot like the new version of Battlestar Galactica was. The only plot info is this vague tidbit-

A female agent belonging to Homeland Security is a single mom. Her wayward son finds purpose when the Visitors arrive. Other character arcs are said to also exist. As with the 1983 mini-series a large cast of complex characters will be present.
