I can't imagine why the Fulcrum thread and the Ahsoka in Rebels thread keep bleeding into each other.

I went back and read that post, were you meaning that Star Trek successfully took characters from its TV series to movies? I agree it worked, but I am hard pressed to think of an example were a cartoon character from a TV series and turned it into a live action character for a movie. Star Trek worked largely because the movies and series were both live action and used the same actors.

BTW, I am convinced that Patrick Stewart does not age.

 

Yes, that's what I meant... but animated-to-live-action should be the same, when it's something like Star Wars. If it can go one way (Anakin, Obi-Wan, Lando, etc to animated) then it should be able to go the other way with shows like Rebels or TCW; they're animated, but so what? Cast someone for the live-action that resembles the character, and just go with it. Or, if it were planned from the start, just coordinate the voice actor & character's appearance so later on the character can easily jump to live-action.

 

I don't doubt that they could pull it off and it would work, i just don't know how well it would be received by fans who are familiar with the animated version of the character. I'd be willing to see it tried though.

I didn't read the entire thread, but... fulcrum is a pivot point for a lever... what else pivots, maybe something kid-friendly? A teeter-totter... what's another name for a teeter-totter? See-saw. It's Saw! (probably already been mentioned as a rationale for the cover name)

Or it's just Hera. There is no Fulcrum; she's been secretly in communication with other groups, and is actually running a much larger operation right under the Specters' noses.

Funny how back on Page 1 tho, nobody thought Ahsoka terribly likely (until the crate symbol, which could be a red herring for eagle-eyed viewers). Garm Bel Iblis would be a trip; he means nothing to most people, but EU/Legends fans would probably love it (even if he gets killed not long after). Rex, Saw, or Ahsoka would mean a lot to TCW fans, but I'm still of the opinion that we've had too many movie-nod character appearances already; TCW can wait. However, I'd make an exception for the 'too many OT characters' for Leia, because I enjoy the idea that she's conducting her own rebel activities under her father's nose, Batgirl-style, proving she can help and isn't a little kid anymore.

If you meant to say Ahsoka on the other hand... well that is just a tad more likely.

 

It does look iffy, but you've got to remember, that's a cosplay.

Big difference between cosplay and movie set costumes in terms of what can be accomplished.
