I.E., CA Fun August Events

Okay folks we're doing an IEFF beach trip in August. I'll keep you all posted on when we're doing this. Stayed tuned for pics of where. The wifey and I were there just the other day!

 

What was the name of the beach?

 

The one by the pacific ocean.

 

The beach we went go is called Aliso Viejo. It's a few miles next to Laguna. I'll have pics and dates in just a small bit...hold tight!

Okay fine folks of the IEFF...it's Beach Time...wahoooo!

Lets do our annual beach trip on Sunday August 8th! I'll put the easy directions in a short bit, you won't get losted as it's pretty easy to get to...I promise. Below are a few pics from this past Tuesday when the wifey and I "ditched" for a few hours and went to the beach we'll all go to. You can see it's quite awesome to say the least. As always I get tons of pics there, but here's just a sampling. This should be cool for all!

Good choice. I don't have a softball game that day. Woo hoo!

 

If you're going to be joining us for a day of fun and sunshine and exploring, please add your name to the list of attendees for this so we can see whose coming. I'll bring the EZ Up and I've got an umbrella as well. Make sure to bring your own chairs, food, etc. I'll be posting directions very soon. Very easy to get to. When are the directions coming? Just thought I would ask. Can't wait.

 

Hang tight everyone on the directions. They'll be up by Tuesday afternoon. I'm actually posting this via my phone as my computer caught another virus. I was actually going do a lot of postings last night but that obviously didn't happen. So I'm going to use a friends computer and put all info tomorrow Tuesday.

 

Mike I have a question for you the parking is it a meter or a ticket were you pay after?

 

Okay folks, here's the directions to the beach for Sunday. If you Google earth or MapQuest this, you'll see everything just fine. As far ad parking is concerned, you pay when you get there but its metered. It $1.00 per hour. Give yourself extra time to be safe. Bring ones and or fives for the meter. You'll get a ticket to display in your car window.


Directions are as follows: regardless of where you're coming from, you'll want to get onto the 5 FWY South going towards Irvine. You'll pass Jamboree, Culver, Jeffrey and you'll want to get onto the 133 South. This will turn into Laguna Canyon Rd in about 4 miles automatically.


You'll stay on LC Rd for another 4 miles until it dead ends at HWY 1 which is South Coast Hwy. You'll be at a traffic light looking at the Ocean in front of you. This is Laguna Beach. Turn left at the light and go about another 3 miles to where you'll park.


You'll getting really close when you pass the Ruby's Diner and then Albertsons on you're left side of the street. You'll eventually go down a hill and at the bottom of it on your right hand side, you'll see the parking lot for ALISO BEACH COUNTY PARK. This isn't really a park as you're at the beach...but whatever, I digress. Anyways, you've made it. Go to one of the couple meters and pay for you're parking and come join us under the EZ UP.


To find us, if you're looking directly at the ocean, we'll be to the right side of the beach as its less crowded. Sheila and I are looking forward to seeing all of you there on Sunday. If for whatever reason you can't find us or you get lost...call me. See you all there. Hopefully this posted okay as I'm doing this from my phone.
