Ark Fundraisers and Community Events: Comments, Suggestions and Ideas!!! Input please.

I dont really have much time to make one as I am also preparing for upcoming performances of "My Fair Lady"...

Oh my gosh, I love that movie! Where will it be, and who are you playing the part of? By the way, Costume Corner and Party City (I think) has costumes for rent if you can't find something. The Princess Leia costume is $20 plus a $10 security deposit I'll get back when I return it.

Hey everybody! Here's my attempt at a pep talk. First of all, everybody go to the Bowl for Kids website and look at our meter. Out of the $2,000 that we set as our goal we've made a little over $200. We have the most team mambers in the entire group by far , and we are in the top 100 of money-makers . Technically, this is really our first event that we are fully participating in and both the Pres and I would like it if we made a good showing. Right now, we can't get TV stations, radio stations, or the paper interested in what we're doing, but if we do well in the next week that may change. So, we have a little over $11 per person now, if we could get at least $50 per person we'd be up to almost $1000 . We have a little over a week. Good luck and happy hunting!

There's now a team that has raised more money than us called 'I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter.'

 

I just left the BBBS office had to get some papers filled out for Wal*Mart. Yes I said Wal*Mart it appears that maybe if everything works out ok that they will match what we make up to $500.00. So lets get out there and at least get $50.00 each remember that the lanes and everything are being paid for by BBBS and it will not look right for some of us to be out there bowling and didnt donate any money at all. She did say she would try and get some media attention for us so uf she can it could be a great break for our group. It also looks like the Child police fund is also donating some money unsure how much yet Tracy should know by the first of next week.

 

Alright we are doing My Fair Lady on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 oh and the cost is 5 dollars a person

and to answer your question Jacob, honestly this is like only the 2nd production I have really ever done. Usually Im just the Crew Audio Manager. This year when I tried out for the musical I was well....kinda thrown into a big part, I tried out for a smaller one and got a big one...oh well it should be good anyways

Since I haven't had the chance to work on my costume, I guess I'll break out the Barriss one I used at Halloween.

Don't forget, our goal is $2000.00. You guys do the math....Although, if Walmart comes through, we can double that money to $520...Still pretty short. Don't forget that if you have cash or check donations and you don't know how to add it to our total on the Bowling website, let me know and I can add it for you. Please? Also, even $10 will help. That's all my parents could afford to give, but it's ten more than we had before...

 

Tracy did get a check from Cops for Kids foundation for $150.00 but last night he was having trouble adding it Ill try and check on him tonight and see if he got it added to the total.

Hey everybody! Um, I'm about to be the bad guy... I just got off the phone with the BBBS representative, and she suggested that she was a little bit...disappointed in the amount we had raised per person. She asked me to remind you, like Henry did, that they are picking up the cost for everything, so if we donate hardly any money they actually lose in the end. So, we have two days left, let's make 'em count, okay? As of right now we have $310. Henry, if Tracey needs me to input that check he recieved I would be happy to do it, and it would help alot. Okay, I'm going to run away now....Hmm, I wonder how much Sammie would fetch on EBay....


Oh yeah, is there anyone that wants to meet beforehand like for lunch or something?

 

Well I have people that have agreed to donate a little, but I'm bringing it on Saturday...

Maybe some of the others are doing the same. Should we make a list of eveyone who hasn't donated yet, for guilt's sake?
