Howdy, y'all. It be Molly.
This here be the start of the FanForceFundraiserForum, just to "start the Ewok running", as they say....

So, yeah... I'm going to think of stuff and research things, and update what we have going for us so far, on this post page. Please contribute any ideas or research you have done also, to this forum.

What can YOU do? Start thinking about:

What can we do as fundraisers?
Where can we do them?
How will we go about doing it?
Do you, personally, know someone/ have a contact somewhere that could help our group out in either organizing, advertising, or facilitating the event?

Remeber, the whole point is to create some cash cushion for the club -- so we can purchase club things like banners, help with costuming workshops, go places, and lots more!

Please present all your ideas and info in a concise and organized manner (full sentences!), but add as much as you want... The more ideas and stuff we can get, the more we can do as an organization!!

FR#1: Costumed Car Wash
Event timeline: Spring & Summer
Ideas so far:
We can do one or more car wash events at local gas stations/ other, with some members dressed up in Star Wars cotumes, holding signs, taking money, and with a slightly more casual work force scrubbing cars down.

[Unresearched] Aside from the costumes, we probably would need to bring our own gear: buckets, small towels, sponges, etc.

Idea: For the sponges and /or towels, we could sew up some qwik&easy ones that look like Jawas, Ewoks, R2-D2, or other characters or character faces. (Entertain the kids/ people in the car AND get the vehicle clean!)
