Funky Forum Links

Hey,

As you may have noticed in other forums, Kadue has discovered a previously unused feature - Forum titles and announcements.

I will use the announcement feature to advertise future ladder tournaments, and other such stuff.

But I would like your opinions on what should be perminently linked (kinda like sticky topics) at the header and footer of this forum. We can get about 5-6 links across the top. See YJCC for an example.

My ideas;

Separate the FAQ and Index, and have each linked separately.

A link to theforce.net/games

Maybe a direct PM link to me?

When a new game is released, a link to that game's official thread(s) for a month or so to help curb redundancy.

Your ideas?

Put all my threads up there so I can read then and not have to go lookin for them

How about we put five or six links to the FAQ/Index? Then people will actually see it!

And how about you become a manager so you can do the links yourself and give poor Kadue a break.

ya, html font size 10 should do it, and also put CLICK HERE FOR MODSHIP, READ ALL OF THIS THREAD might work too.

 

A link to the games section of TF.N is good. I always wondered why there never was one. You go to other threads like lit. and the EP2 fourms and they always have a link to the corresponding TF.N section.

There was a link to TFN Games, but it was replaced by the FAQ link.

Basically you can have almost any HTML in there, so I can change the colour of the link to the FAQ and Index so it stands out.

It also takes me all of 10 minutes to code it from scratch, and less than 2 to change, so it's not trouble Dan. I've got to do all the other boards, so Games isn't all that much of a hassle.

Besides, I really like you guys, so spending time doing things with you is fun.

Sithman, . Sometimes you really do make me laugh. You could put links up for me, AA, IA, and Bib. You ban us more than newbies use these threads anyway.

edit: Font size 6 is the biggest font size html does, I think. I'm no expert though.

 

I use 10 all the time cause i cant remeber if its 4 or 6, even though 10 is past the biggest


And I suck at HTML, but am good at asp, java and some other junk that is web related....

PEOPLE WILL SEE IT IF IT'S LIKE 10 TIMES BIGGER THAN NORMAL FONT, FOO.

And I guess I_D will have to expand his vocabulary so he can post Dan's thought in Communications.
