Even better - our agency newsletter - I was proofing one of my co-worker's articles and did you know one of the first things you do after a storm damages your home is to "assess" the damage minus the second "s"?

When I emailed her that I didn't think she wanted that word in a newsletter, she asked why.

I mean, really, having a tree or two crash through your roof is a real pain, but a pain in the "asset," I think not.

Hee! Oh, Valairy, that's great! And I love that she didn't catch on even when you emailed her - priceless!

Thanks for the early morning giggle! This thread never fails to make me smile.

I was waiting for my husband to finish a job in a clients office and read a flier on their information board. They finance new home builds, renovations and 'addictions'.

I have probably done that on Microsoft Word. I type so fast that I can barely spell. Microsoft word always wants sith not Sith, and considering the number of easily mispelled words in the Star Wars galaxy, anyone who has ever written fanfic on Word knows how annoying it is.

Another Mace story. Once, I saw his name as Mase Win-doo. The hyphen was there, too. [face_laugh] Sorry, had to share that one.

I've run into that, and yes, it is very annoying. This just shows that Microsoft has no respect for the Sith order, they insist they don't deserve capitalization. ;):)

Giving this a friendly bump because I know everyone hasn't suddenly and mysteriously learned how to spell. :p

You just proved his point. Everyone knows it's "stoopid."

    :p

Whn the kish runs awry witht he fpoon.

What's really funny about this line is that way back in ye olde days, s was written as f. So technically, fpoon is the correct spelling. [face_mischief]

Of course not, you two! It's "Stuepid" :p

My annoying spell-check usually attempts to gve me a page full of "Qui-Goon" and "Mace Window" I've added them to dictionary though. :D And of course, the 'teh's" will be with me always. :p

Edit: Oddly anough, I typed "Teh "teh's" will be with me always.[face_laugh]

Edit 2: It must be this thread. The second time, I typed "Teh "teh's" ill be with always.[face_laugh]

In a non-Star Wars related story written as part of a creative writing class, my created salute ended up going like this... "He slammed his fist into his midsection and then bowed his dead, saluting his king."

I was reading through my Clinical Microbiology made Ridiculously Easy book, which gave this example:

    Streptococcus InterMediUS:
    IMmediately USses (assess) for ABSCESS

Except, of course, assess was missing that crucial last 's.' (And yes, apparently "usses" only has one 's' on the end of it as well.)

I too have wondered how many **** Lords are roaming the GFFA.

    I have!! :D Not so, I lie! [face_laugh]

Actually, just when I think I've got a handle on my fingers typing correctly, they make a bad mistake.

Latest was in chat where the discussion was public punishments of ye olde days.

Yeah, I kept making the same typo a number of times before someone finally questioned me on, pubic flogging. [face_blush] [face_blush]

Thanks to a friendly heads up from a reader, I have discovered a somewhat amusing typo in something that I just recently posted.

I'm afraid that she's a little too much like her father, especially for the roll that I have chosen for her.

It begs the question, what roll? Popover? Crescent? Brown n' serve? ;)

    It has been fixed. :)

    And I wondered how you'd wear a trooper for a thong.

But even then I have to agree with AF: got to be very uncomfortable with all of that metal on :p
