Funniest scene in AOTC

Everyone in the theater laughed when Chancellor Palpatine said: ?I love democracy. I love the Republic.?

 

I liked when Obi-Wan asked him what took so long and Obi-wan is trying to lay down some knowledge on Ani. Anakin keeps going on being a smartass about how he had to find the right speeder,color all that no one laughed i thought it was funny.

Other then that there were chuckles but no LOL type of laughs hell the only thing ive really laughed at in a Star Wars movie is when Yoda goes ape**** on R2 with his stick now that is some funny stuff.

 

Seems that some in this string are talking about unintentionally funny, but I'll stick to the intended humor...

3PO as R2 pulls his head across the arena floor: "What a drag"

Very funny - the audience I saw it with loved all the 3PO humor.

 

1. After Padme falls out of the ship when they are chasing Dooku she is laying in the sand moaning. The clone trooper asks if she's ok and then she pops right up and starts running. For some reason it just really cracked me

Yea and everybody else who's practically seen the film so far

 

For some reason I thought it was funny when Jango blasts that one Jedi in the box.

He just jumps up there like
"AHA! I've got you now Dooku!"

BLAM! - Jedi does nose dive

Jango just twirls his gun and Dooku kinda smirks at him. Pretty cool.

And Yoda and his cain are my second.

 

I like how the Aleena toddler chases those small creatures on Tatooine. Just when Anakin and Padmé arrives.

 

"Well, she seems to be on top of things!"

 

I personally liked the part when Nute was getting all upset that Padmé wasn't getting killed. Pretty funny.

I also enjoyed Anakin laughing as he's taking a nose dive down Coruscant in his speeder, while Obi-Wan is in the passenger's seat freaking out.

And no one seemed to notice Jar Jar saying "Dellow felegates..."

 

It has to be Yoda acting like sonic on speend, and then picking up his walking stick.

 

I hope that I actually heard this line correctly.

When Obi Wan first radios the Council, he tells R4 to "Prepare to send to Coruscant, scramble frequency ... to the Old Folk's Home."

I just found it funny that he would describe the Temple and the Council in that manner. Shows he really has a great sense of humor

Again, I hope I heard the line correctly.

Also, the entire Dex scene. LOVED it.

 

Yeah, the hole 50's bar scene was funny, and it seemed out of place

 

All the funniest parts (in my opinion) were done by ewan, a list is:

1. "To get a drink!"
2. "Uh, Not Good"
3. "Good Job"
4. "Oh... Yes" (from the elevator scene at begining of film with the 'Gundark' talk)
5. "You dont want to sell me death sticks"

BTW what is a 'Gundark'

 

I'm gonna get blasted for this... keep in mind I'm not a fan of the character but...
I spit my drink out when I heard Jar Jar say "Dellow Fellagates". I didn't know Gungans were drunks

 

Well everything above was funny.

Personally I really liked:
"I hate it when he does that"

 

I know... I keep bringing it up but...

The first kiss between Anakin and Padme. Not only does the music stop and Padme pulls away (which always gets a laugh).. but then Anakin has one of the funniest looks on his face a few seconds later... like he is thinking "Did I just get punched in the face???"

Totally agree on that one, Razorback! It was a very un-Lucas like moment, to cut the music and such, but I thought it worked really well to get a laugh!

Here are my other funniest lines:
1. "That's why I'm here." Obi-Wan. Gotta love his facial expression and the context of the line there!
2. "I love democracy." Palpatine
3. "I love the republic." Palpatine. Lot of snickers at this one!
4. "Oh...yes..." Obi-Wan
5. Yoda walking with the cane after the saber fight.

 

Oh yeah i forgot:

"Thats why i'm here!" line

I liked the part in the droid factory when anakin realizes his saber is busted and he says something like "Oh no, not again! Obi-wan's gonna kill me!"

 

Even funnier than the stuff in the movie are the posts in this thread.

Gundark?

 

Unless I missed it, no one mentioned Nute freaking out during the arena battle.
"She can't do that! Shoot her, or something!"

 

A Gundark is, in Galactic Battlegrounds at least, a fierce red creature with great big arms and claws. They make excellent food for any race. If your workers can get one that is.
