ah, Wendys. you dont know burgers untill you know Wendys.

No, they dont have Wendy's burgers in the South Island (I was introduced to them by SFL in Auckland) but I wish they did.

we have to settle for Wendys Shake'n'Dog, and Wendy's Bits.

    Clowns.... not Wendy's Ice-cream bar.

    Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers.

Just like Burger King is better quality than Golden Arches (then again what isn't)....
Wendy's is better quality than Burger King.

The dude upstairs said there's no Wendy's in Chch.... so I guess there's no Wendy's in the Sth Island.... bummer!!!

The 3 biggest Hamburger chains on this planet are Wendy's, Burger King & the "bloody horrible" Golden Arches.

The most amazing thing about the fast-food industry.... is that Golden Arches does so well.... yet their burgers are absolute "garbage."

as far as American burger chains go, the best by far is a Californian/west coast chain called "In-n-out burgers". They're like a classier version of Wendys and my goodness they are just sooooooo good.

    Classier version of Wendys?? where?

We still Have Burger Wisconsin down here, not as good as Wendys but far better than BK and McD's by a long shot.

Wendy's the ultimate. I've eaten several feeds from that beautiful place in my short stay up here already. STH is right, "in and out burgers" are suppose to be great, from what american's have told me this year.

Maccas doesnt even feature on my food list. I havn't eaten at McD's in years, and will never eat there again.

    Burger wisconson is great too.

No Wendy's other than Auckland unfortunately.

    :(

I've visited the websites of some big American food chains that we unfortunately don't have....

    Wendy's (apart from Auckland).
    In 'N' Out Burger
    Jack in the Box
    Taxi Burger
Taco Bell.... do any of you guys remember Taco Pronto???.... it was fairly cheap, but everything tasted the same.

So, Domino's Pizza (2nd biggest pizza chain on this planet) is slowly growing in NZ.

I used to work at Eagle Boys Pizza, but when Pizza Hutt took it over, they "cheapened" the menu.... cost cut the menu big time.

People from low economic families seem to "love" McDonalds.... even though their burgers are small & expensive.

    I hate McDonalds [face_devil]

If New Zealanders call Fish, Fush... and Chips, Chups...

Does that mean they call Scallops... Scullops?!

    And Crabs, Crubs?

    And Dim Sims, Dum Sums?

I'm not sure how this is

    a) Amusing
    b) Not obvious
    c) Worthy of a thread

And I doubt many people with a New Zulun...er, New Zealander accent would find this thread terribly flattering. Just make sure you don't get too many people annoyed at you, I hate having to actually go to the effort of closing a thread.

I think that some people around here need to discover that element of humanity that makes living all the worth while: humour.
