Lucas has said that if the intratrilogy live action TV series is sucsessful there would be other series.

Yoda TV series 800 years before ANH

A young Yoda gains the rank of Jedi Master and confronts the Sith

 

That couldn't work as between the Battle of Ruusan and TPM the Jedi think the Sith are Extinct.

 

If this is true, then how do the Jedi know of the 'rule of two'? That came into being after Ruusan.

 

Well...this can be easily explained by the end of the graphic novel Jedi vs. Sith. Darth Bane and Rain arrive at what was once Lord Kaan's base of operations, to examine the after-effects of the "thought bomb." Outside Kaan's former base are milling remnants of the non-Jedi Republic forces who have just witnessed the effects of the final clash at Ruusan. Surely, one or more of them would have gotten a hold of their superiors to let them know that at least one (or two) Sith escaped the battle.

 

They can make whatever TV series they like, as long as they hold to the established canon.
