Welcome one and all! Feeling patriotic? Want to become an American hero? Just want to role play something fun? Then you have come to the right place.

G.I. Joe is the code name for America's daring, highly trained Special Mission force. It's purpose: To defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world.

--- 001. Greetings, players. ---

Agreeing to play in this RPG, you must obey all the rules and TOS of the JC Forums. Please refer to those threads. If for some reason you cannot find those threads, send your commanding officer (the GM) a Private Message.

This G.I. Joe RPG is based on the original G.I. Joe storyline, NOT Sigma 6. You will be joining the forces of either G.I. Joe or Cobra. You may play more than one character, but don't take on so many characters that you can't keep them all straight. All Joe and Cobra characters are available to you, as long as he or she hasn't already been taken. Dubya_Scott will play as the lead character of both sides (Duke and Cobra Commander), considering he is the GM. If you wish, you may create your own character upon approval from your GM. For approval, send him the Character Sheet(s) of your `made-up` character(s). Keep in mind, there are no guarentees that it will be accepted. The Character Sheet to fill out is below, along with a long list of known Joe and Cobra characters.

If you are not too familiar with "G.I. Joe", or it's characters, but still wish to play, contact your GM for information. He will help you as best he can. Also, I have provided a few good websites for reference on "G.I. Joe", it's characters, and vehicles:

Stationed at the Army Chaplains' Assistants School in Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island, New York. The secret, underground base, known as "The Pit" is the main headquarters of G.I. Joe. Cobra has no knowledge of any of this.

Cobra - Terrorist organization bent on world domination

Organization is located on, and under, Cobra Island, in the Gulf of Mexico. There is also a connection with a small town called Springfield in the continental United States. G.I. Joe has no knowledge of Cobra's presence at either place.

REAL NAME: Anastasia Decobray

PERSONALITY, SKILLS, OTHER TRAITS: : It is believed that BARONESS received her training in espionage and sabotage at an exclusive training facility run by a former Warsaw Pact intelligence agency. Although she is officially the head of all COBRA intelligence operations, she also has old ties and loyalties to DESTRO, who has his own business and interests outside of COBRA. BARONESS denies that this is an ethical conflict. How can it be? She has no ethics to speak of. The BARONESS is a world-class expert in cryptography, psychological warfare, and bio-chemical skin-irritants. She consistantly places third in the annual COBRA combat pistol championship, but this is no mean feat considering that DESTRO always places second. But in her arrogance she believes that her failure to secure the gold medal is due to political favoritism rather than the quality of her marksmanship.

REAL NAME: Vincent R. Falcone
JOE or COBRA: JOE
PERSONALITY, SKILLS, OTHER TRAITS:Being Duke's half brother does have it's ups as well as the downs for LT Falcon. Ever living up to Duke's illustrious reputation, he often comes across as just the younger brother.
Falcon was trained as a top rated Green Beret and specializes fighting in rugged and harsh enviroments for days on end.

Well, this is somewhat disappointing. I was kinda hoping for a few more people. It might be tough to have a G.I. Joe epic with only 3 Joes and 2 Cobra operatives.

And then I suppose you've done all you can, save for maybe pulling some strings off stage.

CODENAME: Tomax

REAL NAME: classified informatoin

JOE or COBRA: Cobra!

CODENAME: Xomat

REAL NAME: classified information

PERSONALITY, SKILLS, OTHER TRAITS: Tomax and Xomat are identical twin brothers. Mirror images of each other, really, with the exception of a scar on Xomat's face. The two provide much of the "brain" behind the scenes of COBRA's operations. Though, they often find themselves in the midst of battle on the field, they really are much better suited to behind the scenes strategery. The two have an amazing link, even for twins. as one can feel what the other does: from pain to pleasure, even to the point of having the same physical outcome for the two brothers. This link has both advantages and disadvantages.

CODENAME: Roadblock

REAL NAME: Marvin F. Hinton

PERSONALITY: Roadblock is the "heavy gunner" of the Joes, always packing bigger and badder guns. Before he enlisted in the U.S. Army, Roadblock wanted to be a gourmet chef and towards that, was working as a bouncer in order to earn enough money to attend Escoffier School in France. An army recruiter managed to convince him that he can learn to be a chef in the Army. After enlisting, Roadblock found Army food appalling and transferred to infantry where he excelled at using heavy weapons. Roadblock is one of the biggest and strongest members of G.I. Joe. He can carry a fully-loaded M-2 Browning machine gun which can weigh up to 134 lbs. Despite working in infantry, he still maintains his passion for making good food.

Sorry old-timers, I'm too young to remember the American Heroes. Though I think I know something of the ninjas for some reason. Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, if I recall. Don't remember which is which or what they do though.

Your profile says you're 18. You must have just missed the huge G.I. Joe craze in the mid-`80's. That doesn't matter. you can still create your own character if you wish.

So, uh... If you guys are still with me, should we just start and see what happens?

Well, it's obvious that there isn't a whole lot of interest in a "G.I. Joe" game on these boards at this time. A few people, yes, but the G.I. Joe story is so huge that we'll need more than 4 people to play. So, sadly I must PM NP or LSA to close this... I hate to do it, but....

Yes. And those GM's generally lock their current RPG to start a new one with a brand new idea. You're eventually going to create a successful one. Just keep trying. It'll happen.
