we still need to decide if we want to start doing Jedi Nights or not.

And what exactly constitutes Jedi Nights?

Jedi Nights might be cool, but I could only handle once a month. I'm sure a few others here would feel the same way (K&E?).

Not interested. I'm still learning the game and only interested in playing, not gut-squashing competition.

Ditto on the gut-squashing competition from me! I'm just not competitive about cards.

I might be able to make it sometimes, but (for example) I can never make Wednesdays or Thursdays as I have classes those nights.

For this Saturday, if cards are at night, then Ken can't come either as he is my date to see a friend play in her orchestra's Valentine's Day concert.

 

I just got the clearense from high command. I will be there sat. unless it snows really bad.

I can't make any commitments on cards but I'l certainly check it out at some point.

I'm currently running 2 rpgs (Star Wars and D&D) and playing in 3 (2 D&D and 1 Runequest). As I mentioned, the SW RPG will roll over -- I'll be done with my first 3 movies for these players -- in about a month or 2 and take new players then.

All my spare game money is devoted to buying little plastic men and trying to paint them with my meathook-like dexterity; the joys of DMing. That means I can't afford another $50 card game (that's 30-40 figures, for god's sake!). While the game is completely about luck -- the draw and the dice -- I have noticed being smushed by some killer cards that I have no inclination to go get and will periodically stop by to have my swarming deck demolished by whoever is on the other side of the table.

I'm not really sure what's different about JK over our current game. Again, I'm happy to take a look at it.

You don't necessarily have to be overly competitive in Jedi Nights. It is like a regular tournament if you are not going after a high rating. Tim and I are curious as to where we would rank amongst others across the country and we were hoping to get this set up so we could go to other tournamnets.

For obvious reasons, cards have been cancelled for Saturday evening.

 

that's too bad. I only have to work until 12 Saturday.

 

Liz, since you aren't that far away from me, you and I can get together for a couple of games if you want. I just don't want to drive all the way to Pentagon City for it.

 

man, and i was looking forward to playing and getting some new cards. oh well theres always next time. snows pretty bad here anyway, so it might be for the better.

Let me get back to you on that. I'd like to play cards but it isn't a 100% thing at the moment.
