Due to scheduling conflicts Galacticon will be later this year. However, it will be a two day event. Galacticon will be held on Saturday, May 9th - Sunday, May 10th. We have all three meeting rooms at the VA Beach Central Library for both days. Planning will begin soon.

For the panels I assigned music and projector as a precautionary measure. You can or can not use them if you want.
I also need to come up with about 10 q?s for the writers panel if anyone can come up of some pretty general entry level q? for the writers panel and would like a volunteer to moderate it, we would greatly appreciate it. Wendy also what ever you can think of as well. Also if you see something and it doesn?t look correct please by all means let some one know ASAP. Thanks

The library has no problem with everyone leaving their displays and merchandise over night with the understanding that there will be no guard on site. All rooms will be locked. Displays set up in the hall will be locked up in the auditorium.

 

Hey Everyone, I'm Matt Francella.

I just wanted to update you with all the information I have for Gaming at Galacticon, and Hoping to get some information from you as well.

Saturday 9am-11am- Set up and league sign up

11Am-5pm- casual play and Demos. Also a good time te meet other players and to buy sell and trade pieces for your collection. I should have a small amount of starter sets, and booster packs available, to get people started in the game.

12Pm-3pm -150 Point Tournement with Prizes for everyone. Please bring a map and a ready made squad. If you don't have a map a limited number of maps will be available. If you don't have a squad ready, please attend early so that we can help you get set up. 10 dollar entry fee, that goes toward the prizes.


Sunday- 12pm -5pm- Casual Play and Demos


2pm-5pm- 200 point team play. Partner up agains 2 opponents. Prizes for everyone!


This deviated slightly from what Shadow and I had originally planned,but not significantly.


Now I have a few questions as well, so I can pass on the information to others. Is there and admission fee to the convention? Do you have a website that I can direct people to? Are there any fees I need to pay?

Anything you can tell me that you think is pertinent will help as well!

I want to thank everyone for their hard work on Galacticon. With this year's being a two day event and a busy weekend, it was great to see everyone's dedication.

I like that, I read it yesterday and was very impressed with the write up!
