Memph, TN Game Nights at Triple Play this Summer

Well I guess that's not priveleged information anymore.

I think the important thing here is that we don't change any loyalties, as a club or as customers, until we see how everything pans out.

 

I don't think a delegation is necessary. I think leaving it to Jacob or Elliot to speak with whoever the new owners are should be sufficient. Too many people could be intimidating for the new owner.

 

that's true. I'm also pretty sure Kevin will tell the new owner about us. I know if I was investing in it I would want to know as much as possible about the customer base.

 

Kids and Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon cards.

Less kids, not so crowded, and only those pesky religious types to worry about.

 

we could just take over a second run movie theater on a week night or something.

 

We could dominate a McDonald's somewhere! McAllister's at Highland and Poplar has a big back room that you can call ahead of time and block of tables (plus, that's the center of the city).

 

Really? I just recently realized there was a MacAllister's in the middle of that shopping area. Sounds like a possibility if new owners aren't conducive to our needs. But I do agree with Jacob that we should stick with Triple Play until we know for sure. But, as Joe and I are going to be super busy for August, this might be a moot point.

 

I'm going to leave the fate of gaming nights in the hands of our primary gamers since they know the clubs needs in this area of interest. I'm sure we could find another place if it came down to it, but I have no problems sticking with Triple Play as long as they'll have us.

Hate to hear that 3X Kevin is leaving. Hope he can find new owners, and that they want to keep the gaming space.

I don't get out to that part of town often, but did enjoy stopping in when I was. It was always good to see another comic shop doing well.

Any word on the future of 3X and game nights?

 

I guess it is okay to share that he almost closed the place and took the business to Florida with him, but has recently found a buyer and they are working on details now.

Kelly and Robert told me that today was Kev's last day and that he's closing after all. Sad.

 

I hate to hear that. I guess he didn't find a buyer, then. I'll go back through my emails on my old computer. I think I had one from another game place that offered us pretty much the same thing. Hopefully, I still have it, because I sure as hell can't remember who it was exactly.

Of course, all of this depends on whether or not we want to even try to continue with game nights now that Triple Play is closing.

 

I would like to continue them. I know Rob would like to continue also.

Since Joe and I don't attend regularly, I leave that up to Jacob and Elliot since they have been coordinating the event.

 

I'm going to leave the whole thing up to our gamers. I only go to socialize, so I don't want to waste a gaming store owner's time and space for my area of interest.
