VIDEO Game of the Month: April 2013

First Game of the Month contest where we pick one of the games coming out this month as game of the month.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm most excited about Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins which is out on the 3DS in three weeks but isn't on the list.

 

A mod can add it. I just was unable to find anything other than those.

 

Hmm... not looking forward to any of those really, but if i had to choose one. I would go with the Star Trek game. Injustice feels too much like a MK reskin, I don't really know much about Defiance and Dead Island was horrible imo :/

 

Cool. If anything else pops up I can write it down on a sheet to keep track.

I'll pick up the Star Trek game if it's any good but I'm not stupid enough to pre-order a licensed game without seeing reviews.

Defiance is great! It's a TV show with a tie-in mmorpg. I got in on the third beta and it was amazing. I really can't wait for the show to start so I can just how it all ties together, but it's going to be good. I made a thread about it here: http://boards.theforce.net/threads/defiance.50009693/

Hmm.. for a game based on a TV series, it looks damn good. Very impressive.

 

It is not based off the TV show they are just in the same universe at the same time.

 

I'm really looking forward to Injustice, even though I wish Marvel would hurry up and get a Marvel only fighting game out in this style! Netherrealm is a great studio tho and I do like some DC!

I played a little of the Defiance beta and thought it was interesting enough to check out, Star Trek I'm unsure of. I want to want it...

 

It sort of is. They will tie together and each will have an effect on the other. Like a big event in the series will change the game and they'll do big events in the game with the outcome affecting the show.

 

Yea i know, thats what i ment. i just described it wrongly i guess.

Injustice is a day one buy for me. Dead Island was a great experience on co-op, so I'm sure I'll convince a friend to pick up a copy with me once Steam has a sale for it.
