Welcome to the Game of the Month thread for August 2013. Pick a game above and if you wish discuss it below.

Last Months Winner: Halo: Spartan Assault

Happy voting and May the Force be with you.

P.S. We have quite a few games coming out this month so some notable titles could not make the list.

You couldn't put Tales of Xillia on that list? Yet the Planes game makes the list? The licensed game to a movie spin-off of one of Pixar's weakest movies? Although I heard the Toy Story 3 game was decent, and I think the Cars racing was decent too, but still.

Unlike July there are quite a few big names, but Tales games always have a ton of content so I'm looking forward to Tales of Xillia the most. If not Tales, probably Mario and Luigi, and Ducktales after that for the nostalgia value (but there's only so much they can pack into a remake of an NES game even with most of the original cartoon voices I believe).

It's last month all over again! :p

Anyway, yeah, either Xillia or Mario and Luigi, methinks. Saints Row IV is invited to politely surprise me if it sees fit to do so. Rune Factory 4 got delayed (Again) so that does make my selection a bit easier.

Mario and Luigi. I have the previous 3 games and love them so I want the new one.

Splinter Cell, I will probably wait until a price drop but I am looking forward to it. But since Chaos Theroy the franchise has yet to surpass it.

Saints Row IV. It's exactly what I expected - a damn good bit of fun with a wacky story. I'm enjoying it more than Saints Row: The Third, actually, with it's sci-fi lendings, and it just being 200% faster to play than SR3.

Only titles from this month I'll be getting are Super Luigi U and DuckTales- though I'm likely to get Pikmin 3 at some point in the next year, just no right away (too many games coming out from Nintendo and Ubisoft alone for me to afford any more than I'm planning right now).

Although I hear Saints Row has a They Live sequence of some kind... which is amazing and means I might have to look into that game despite completely ignoring the franchise's existence till this point.
