I've got to say, I've gotten into some real-life arguments with people who just think Arya can do no wrong.

In summary, no GOT in 2018 and HBO has yet to confirm a release date but according to Sansa it's 2019. I hope she knows nothing.

Well, there's the small matter that they want to keep the CGI budget for things that really count (i.e. dragons), so they're filming in Winter to have as much of the real stuff as they can. Also, it's rumoured that each episode will feel like a mini movie (extended runtimes), which means that they need nearly as much time to film as a regular season, especially if we take into account that they've got the cast mostly all together and they're not using as many filming units as before. Given that they'll need time for post-production, too, you can understand why this last season is slightly delayed.

 

I posted here months ago that it won't come out until mid-2019.
