Princes of the Universe (JM1511) at Legends of Tomorrow (sey)
At Kickoff: 70 Degrees, Light Wind, No Rain

It's too early in the season to be sure this was an upset. But from all appearances, it sure looks like one.

It also looks like an instant classic.

Three times, it looked as if Legends of Tomorrow were dead in this one. But they kept finding ways to escape.

Princes of the Universe scored a 24-yard touchdown with just 1:13 remaining in the fourth quarter to go up 41-34, and put Legends of Tomorrow on notice for the upset.

After a holding penalty negated a 20-yard gain, Peyton Manning threw his fourth interception of the game, seemingly ending the game. But, Legends of Tomorrow still had their timeouts, and were able to hold for a three-and-out and force a punt. That gave Manning just enough time to redeem himself from the interception, as he connected on a 42-yard touchdown to Troy Walters on the last play of the game, and with an extra point good, we were headed to overtime.

In overtime, Manning's offense would stumble, and they would be left settling for a field goal, which meant when Vince Young scrambled and found the endzone on 3rd and goal, it ended the game, and got Princes of the Universe what looks like a big time upset on the road.

Manning ended the game completing 30 of his 51 passes for 489 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 4 very costly interceptions. Vince Young, on the other hand, only completed 14 of 23 for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns, but had no turnovers. He shared the stage with Darren McFadden, who rumbled for 129 yards on 19 carries, and also scored a touchdown.

Final Score: Princes of the Universe 48, Legends of Tomorrow 44 (OT)

Vince Young is always ruining my football experiences...yeah I can't say that with a straight face. Let's be honest, Peyton Manning is always ruining my football experiences. (except that one time)

Rubber Duck Quackers (RX) at OBC's MVPs (heels)
At Kickoff: 70 degrees, Light Wind, No Rain

At this point in time, it might be fair to wonder: Can anyone slow down OBC's Offense?

Lead by a three-headed monster, OBC ran, passed, and just straight up balled their way through the Rubber Duck Quackers.

Graham Harrel threw for 397 yards in the air, on 18-of-28 passing. Justin Blackmon hauled in six of those for 154 yards. But, the real star in the three-headed monster was LaMichael James, who carried the ball 18 times for 189 yards and five touchdowns.

That meant OBC racked up 600 yards of offense, and got 6.8 yards per carry on the ground. In comparison, the Quackers only managed 2.9 yards per carry, and nearly 150 yards less in total offense.

The Quackers employed a bend-but-don't-break defense early to keep it interesting, holding OBC to Field Goals three times in the first half. But, that would end in the second half as James came to life and found the endzone three times, including a scintillating 45-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Marcus Marriota completed 31 of 44 for 290 yards, but couldn't find the endzone, while Melvin Gordon was held to 73 yards on 22 carries.

Final Score: OBC's MVPs 47, Ruber Duck Quackers 22

Ball So Hard U (Gunny) at Get on Board the Sexy Boat (PRENN)
Forecast: 85 degrees, No Wind, No Rain

It was a nightmare start for Ball So Hard U, but the Sexy Boat - especially on defense - pulled out of port and rolled from the start.

Sexy Boat took the opening drive 58 yards, helped by two penalties from Ball So Hard U, but had to settle for a field goal. That wouldn't mean they'd surrender momentum, however. Another Ball So Hard U penalty, this one on the kick return, backed them up to the five yard line to start their opening drive. Two negative plays later, and Jazquizz Rogers was tackled in the endzone for a safety.

7 Plays later, Jameis Winston found Randall Cobb in the endzone for a touchdown.

Ball So Hard put themselves back in the game, taking the ensuing kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown, but they wouldn't find the end zone again until there were just 6 seconds left in the game.

Sexy Boat, meanwhile, got three more touchdown passes from Winston, who ended the game with 346 yards, 4 touchdowns, no interceptions, and 26-for-32 passing. He found Freddie Barnes 10 times for 97 yards, and found Dallas Clark only three times for 34 yards, but two of those were touchdowns in the second quarter, as the Sexy Boat pulled away.

Ball So Hard U had one of the most anemic rushing performances in college football history, getting just 0.9 yards per carry for the game with Robert Griffin III as their leading rusher with just 12 yards (on 21 carries). Griffin also added 303 yards in the air, but his one touchdown was countered by two picks.

Final Score: Get On Board the Sexy Boat 54, Ball So Hard U 20

Tebow's Holy Rollers (tom) at Scarlet and Grey Sloopies (Lloyd)
At Kickoff: 45 degrees, Light Wind, Moderate Rain

Outside of the first two offensive plays of the third quarter, you could almost call this game the Mike Nugent show.

On the first play from scrimmage of the second half, Reggie Bush ran up the middle into the heart of the Sloopies Defense and didn't stop running, taking the ball 75 yards for a touchdown. After the kickoff, LaDanian Tomlinson took a carry off right and he didn't stop running for 70 yards, as he found pay dirt.

On a sloppy day of football, that was about all either star running back would muster. Bush ended the day with just 101 yards on 13 carries, and Tomlinson ended with 103 on 15 carries.
Cardale Jones had an up-and-down game for the Sloopies, throwing for 422 yards, but completing only 27 of his 49 attempts. He had one touchdown and no interceptions. On the other side, Tim Tebow completed just 15 of 30 for 134 yards, no touchdowns and an interception.

The real star, though, was Nugent. he was a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals, including makes of 40 yards and 50 yards.

Final Score: Scarlet and Grey Sloopies 39, Tebow's Holy Rollers 10

The Awful Velocipedestriennes (EF) at Coruscant Vaders (furio)

At Kickoff: 75 degrees, No Wind, No Rain

Locked in a 20-10 dogfight with under a minute to play in the first half, it looked like we were in for a nail biter in this one.

The Awful Velocipedestriennes had other ideas. Specifically, Brandon Cooks.

With 48 seconds left in the half, Johnny Manziel found Cooks in the endzone, putting his team up 27-10. The Velocipedestriennes stout defense then forced a three-and-out, and on first down, Cooks took an end around 45 yards to pay dirt to put his team up 34-10, and the route was on.

Manziel ended the game completing 13 of his 19 passes for 151 yards, no interceptions, and the touchdown just before the half. Cooks had 105 yards of total offense, with 5 receptions, and the pair of touchdowns to lead the Velocipedestriennes.

Cam Newton completed 22 of 30 for 283 yards, but had an interception and no touchdowns, but did add 54 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground. Two of those touchdowns came in the second half, once the outcome of the game was already decided.

The Pedestriennes got a mammoth 5.9 yards per carry using a stable of ball carriers. Byron Hanspard was the workhorse, picking up 79 yards on 17 carries, while J.J. Arrington added 71 on 4 carries.

For whatever reason this is the only game that disappeared while I was trying to collect stats. I'll try to get what I can from the highlights, but, otherwise, looks like there might be some skewing of the Heisman and other awards because of this. I'll try to be faster next time.
