So back to games... when do I get the hover ability in inFAMOUS? It's taking forever!

 

if my memory serves correctly its somewhere near the end of the first island or the start of the second. it's a pretty fun thing to use, but you lose altitude fairly quickly.

what games do you have? i've been looking for a jcer to play online with. all i've got right now with online capability is gta and far cry. i may get saints row when i get some money. i'm not sure yet.

PS3 online wise I have Saint's Row 2 (a blast on co-op), Killzone 2, MotorStorm Pacific Rift, HAWX, LittleBigPlanet (lol).

yeah, i'll def add you. hawx is another game i might get. for some reason its price plummeted shortly after its release, despite being a totally kickass flight sim. i dont live the online vs. mode though. i played a few rounds of it and got thouroghly owned. the co-op seems pretty awesome though.

 

Co-op makes the campaign pretty easy. You can just join a mission in progress at any stage, and once it's finished it counts as being done, both campaign and trophy wise.

 

My name on XBL is FIDo Almighty. Although I don't really go for multiplayer games. I tend to avoid them. I don't much like how easily people are willing to insult you for dying.

 

well thats handy. i don't care for tropheys nearly as much as i care about achievements, despite them being like the exact same thing. my 360 got that hot new error a few months ago, but since it was a used system from gamestop (and the reciept got destroyed) they refused to replace it. so now i dont have an xbox, and i dont know that i want to shell out the money for a third system. so i guess its ps3 from here on in.

 

Yeah it's always better playing with people you know.

BTW, apparently Steven Spielberg is a fan of HAWX. With that sort of endorsement you can't go wrong!

 

right? i thought it was a great flying sim. its not got the tediousness of true to life flying sims (like flight simulator and that early 360 game over g fighters), AND it improves on the ace combat style, with a coherent storyline and better weapons systems. plus its got that new flight mode which was hard to master but once you did that it was fun as hell.

 

Plus you can record HAWX gameplay on the PS3 version and upload it straight to YouTube. (still has a 10min limit though).

i remember that level. i died once, then realized the key to owning it was to afterburner the entire level while using AA missiles.

The F-2 (Japanese version of the F-16) is my favourite plane in that game for some reason.

 

i dunno, i'd have to go for the f-15. i think we can both agree that the F series is a generally great series of planes. though, i have to go for the 15's because the air force base that has a runway right next to my house launches 15's ALL THE TIME, whereas the 16 is pretty much a navy plane.

 

The F-15's pretty good technically, but aesthetically it doesn't do anything for me.
