VIDEO Gaming goals for 2015

What's big for you in 2015 in gaming? I've complied a list of games that I intend to play before the year is out. Take note that this not limited to games to be released this year. Some of these are games I have been meaning to play for over a decade but never got around to. For me, in no particular order:

But seriously, it's an amazing game. Honestly, in my top three of all time and it often goes to number 1.

As for Grim, I know, I'm late. But when the game came out there were just so many titles that kept me busy, Deus Ex being one of them. Plus I'm playing the very recently remastered version so it's a good time.

 

Also, speaking of Deus Ex, you may want to hold off on playing as the fan project, Deus Ex Revision, is launching within the first quarter of this year.

Essentially, the project replaces all the graphics (characters, settings, objects, scenery) with higher detail versions along with incorporating an original soundtrack. I'll revisit Deus Ex this year once revision is launched.

 

That is a nice list. I'm going to borrow Life is Strange, Grim Fandango and Deus Ex from that list into my games I intend to play some time before I die. But with the little amount of free time I have these days, my only goal for 2015 is to play and finish Just Cause 2. And by that I don't mean 100%-ing it. Just finishing the story.

 

This is exactly why I've never really embraced dedicated RPGs because of how time consuming they are. I love Diablo but who over age 21 has fifty hours over the course of a month to devote to a video game? I wish I did, but I don't. Obviously, even Star Wars Galaxies, is a no-go at all. Even with GTA, I doubt i'll get to many of the side-missions. Just plot and stuffing around between missions I think. I'm mainly playing it to try out the first person mode. GTA lost me after GTA 3.

In light of Homeworld Remastered Collection, Homeworld is back on my radar. I have had it for a long time, but I don't remember ever beating it, and I missed out on Cataclysm and Homeworld 2. Though Steam might be a deal breaker.

Since I learned that Diablo III on consoles doesn't require internet, that is definitely on my radar too. Though with the likelihood of a second expansion eventually being made, I am seriously considering holding off, until it is revealed whether there will be another expansion and if there will be one, whether it will come to last-gen consoles.

Just finished Year 1 of Grim Fandango. I'm actually really glad i'm playing the game at such a late stage because if I played it back in 1999 all of the homages to Casablanca and Maltese Falcon would have totally escaped me because i'd never seen those movies. The game, while being in itself a great game, is a terrific tribute to classic noir-romantic cinema. Good stuff. Manny smoking in the champagne coloured blazer has got me hooked. Let's see where this goes

It's a small list now hahah Need to find something for when I finish it. I would like to play the Uncharted series but I skipped a generation of consoles and the PS4 isn't backwards compatible. Drake's Deception is on PS Now but I would like to play from the start and in order.
