I hope they get rid of Franson. He is so awful defensively.
Just a bad year for him, he was great in the lockout season and playoffs
If I recall, he was holding out for more money and missed training camp last year so that's why he was garbage.
I'm sure he can get his game together, needs the right partner
Leafs sign Komarov for 4 years
That's all, Leggy.
Well then....I stand corrected.
Leo Komarov @CorporalKomarov 5m
hey, @Senators, guess who back? #yousuck
Missed the guy, he was badly needed last season
Shannahan must have had some input with Frattin and Komarov. As I typed this it put in Shannaban. iPad is so smart.
I think Komarov will make Clarkson better
Clarkson has a big job to do, someone has to look out for those water bottles.
I am glad overpriced players like Gionta, Gorges, Vanek, and Briere are gone. We are moving in the right direction.
Vancouver sign Ryan Miller - 3YR/18M.
Colorado sign Jarome Iginla - 3YR/16M.
Chicagio sign Brad Richards - 1YR/2M.
Well Subban is gonna ask for the moon as well so I imagine some of it had to do with that.
Subban is worth pursuing. Norris trophy winner, 4th among league defencemen in points, 4th in goals, 5th in assists, 1st in powerplay goals. He will only get better as he grows and matures.
We already have Price and Markov locked in for a bit, so locking in Subban would add greatly to the defense aspect.
PK's not a great defender.
Yeah, you're right, Frank. That's why his numbers and accomplishments at a young age speak for itself and that he will only get better as he gets more experienced and mature.
Hockey is a team game. Subban turns the puck over a ton, which hurts his team.
And now he doesn't have Gorges to cover his mistakes. Don't get me wrong he's an asset on the PP but defensively he leaves something to be desired.
Dallas is looking like a formidable top six. Could make for a seriously potent power play as well, especially if Klingberg makes the team at D-man and is as good offensively as I've heard.
Next year we will have Cole, Gonchar, and Horcoff coming off the payroll freeing up something like $15 million. I will be shocked if Nill doesn't go get a big-time UFA Defenseman.
Those things taken into consideration, I can't think of a team that looks to have a more favorable upswing over the next 2-3 years.
