    I don’t understand this view. The shot should have been elevated, and if it had been, there would have been no save. It looked more like bad aim than anything else.

    Watch the replay. It wasn't a clean pass. The puck was rolling which makes it difficult to get any elevation on it. Not to mention that Tuch was basically right in front of the net so going for the tap-in was the correct play.

    IIRC the last team to overcome a 3-1 situation in the SC finals were the '42 Maple Leafs. OTOH Washington has blown a 3-1 series lead five times in franchise history.

    So Vegas has a chance to make sure their debut season not a complete failure, but it's only a small one.
