GCC Play, Eat & Trick or Treat - 10/23. 10am-2pm

Hello!

We have been invited back to GCC's Play, Eat & Trick or Treat fundraiser for the college radio station!

The event is on Sunday, October 23, from 10am - 2pm. We will have a room to change in before and after the event.

We participated in this event last year, and it went extremely well. The radio station would even like to interview a few of us on air!

Please respond with your availability!

I am tentative for now.

Emily and I are not able to make it.

 

Genesee Community College is located in Batavia, NY. 30 minutes from the Williamsville toll barrier. Relatively easy to find, ample parking and spacious facility. An added plus is the proximity to Oliver's Candies...a destination in and of itself!

I'd do this one again; it was cool! But, if there will just be two of us again, I'd change to a no.

 

Looks like there's 3 so far, plus my husband who is in the process of joining the boards. He should have his Sith costume bu then.

 

It'd be great if you were there Bill...but I understand your reluctance. I realize I left you there high and dry.

 

We've also only had 9 people respond. We have 30+ people in the group. So we definitely need to hear from everyone before considering cancelling this appearance.

Your need to leave was completely understandable. My point is that if there are at least three but hopefully more (I really think five is a minimal), we won't be as vulnerable to curve balls life inevitably throws

 

I agree. As you may recall, last year there were supposed to be five folks participating but unfortunately three had to bow out very close to the date of the event. We did our best with two..but of course that dropped to one when I had to leave early. In hindsight, we probably should have cancelled.

Five, or even six, should probably be the minimum required to staff an event. It's really not fair to the host organization to show up with less. In addition, among the minimum participating should be at least one or two recognizable/face characters. Providing less makes us look bad.

I will post as tentative. Calendar gets booked up quick this time of year with Nutcracker rehearsals. If Amy is not working that day and/or Katherine is not rehearsing that day, I will make the effort.
