[GEN] Complete color listing

Hmmm... not a bad idea. I'll have to update B.J. Zanzibar's hexadecimal colors, now that the board has changed.

 

oh, and i have a link to a page with hundreds of hexidecimal values, but i'm at a library right now, so i don't have access to it.

 

i didn't realize that we got all that now, i don't know what to do with all the possibilities.

Ok, I finally got around to doing a moderator color listing. Of course, it's probably not going to be accurate very long, because some of you folks (who shall remain namelessPreacherboy) change your colors way too frequently...

I got the names off the thread in Announcements. If somebody's missing, don't blame me.

I've color-coded the names as much as possible (we don't have markup codes for the border and text decoration options). I've also made the names into active links to the profiles (that's why they all look underlined).

That's totally beautiful, Reka! It really looks great. Hmmm... I think it would be cool if we could have something like that in "Current Administrators and Contact Information" everytime we updated it...

Could one of the admins/mods make a chart of font colors and background color for the Announcement forum?

It would make it a lot easier to find for quick reference.

In here, this thread has a way of getting lost and it's getting really hard to find.

Other than that I like the color's I see, it's a great color spectrum...

 

There's no Purdue "old gold" either (go Boilers!). If you want a specific shade listed, find the hexadecimal code and I'll list it.

 

Not a bad idea Valiowk, I toyed with it and now that someone took the effort, I'll change them. Of course, they will be out of date quickly, but that's not our fault.

Yes, I know there are 16,777,216 colors available with hexadecimal codes. I am, however, way too lazy to type them all out.

Yes. 16 million colours, but all the same I think this list will do for now.

Yeah, these are the named colors only. Nobody in their right mind would want to even start listing all the hexadecimal colors available. On the other hand, if you know of a named color that isn't listed, please let us know about it!


My little listing of admin colors is becoming more and more out of date. Maybe the colors ought to be added to the administrator listing thread, and make it the responsibility of each admin to edit the post when they change colors?

Yep, that's us users, always willing and able to add to the workload of admins...
