[GEN] Icons Thread Version 5: The Icons Strike Back

So will Raven be in charge of uplaoding icons until a new manager is found?

 

There will be a new mod/manager of the icons, just to clear things up. Any changes would not get rid of that position. Also, this is JUST discussionl. I am just looking to see what you guys think of the current system and whether or not it should be revised. Becuase if changes are going to be made, now it a good time. But it may be left COMPLETELY the same.

Hopefully a decision will be reached soon on who will fill in.

Well we can still update, but it will only make work for the new person that is introduced.

 

I still say that you should keep making new icons, but put them all on the same "update", one that is for this transitional period, so that when the new Icon Manager (whoever that is) takes over, they have only one place to look on everyone's pages. Then once a new Icon Manager is selected, everyone submits their "transitional updates" to be looked at. Then there should be a larger-than-normal amount of icons selected to make up for the down time.

Sorry about that, the only downside to Bravenet hostig is that they allow only like 20 page views a day. If it doesn't work one day, check the next day.

droideka27, I was away and I'm not really sure what's going on but I think the way nashira had the voting was pretty good...I"m not sure on what other changes there could be but, whatever is decided is ok with me, just my thoughts

Yes,IMHO.She helped create the new voting page,which I think makes the voting process run 10x smoother. That's something that's really helped us icon makers out.

 

I agree with OBIX1 on this issue. Nashira got things back on track, I hope it continues to run as smoothly after the new take over.

 

Never mind, I should read the MS update before visiting this thread. the voting system is fine now, I just wanna see things running again ASAP.

 

Congrats to droideka27 and Raven on becoming the new icon manager!... s, icon managers... uh yea anyway are we allowed to start submitting halloween icons?

k, thanks guys. I have to talk to some people and figure out how to access to voting site, and I had a major presentation today that I have been preparing for the last few days, so I've been pretty busy.

First order of business if me figuring out the off-site icon business, and getting control of that. I also need to restart this thread, since the first post is not pretty unreadable. Then I'll start going through all the new icons.

Be patient with me please, I'm still figuring things out, and it will take a few days to get things started again. We're going to leave the system pretty much as is for now, and just concentrate on getting icons seleted and uploaded again.

Anyways, if you have any concerns or questions, feel free to PM me.

EDIT: Here's the breakdown... I am going to be doing all that nashira did except for the actual uploading and other manager stuff that gets to selected icons on the site, which raven will be doing.
