    This has always irritated me.
Most boards, you just see the voting options, and the results only after you've voted.
But here, you can see them beforehand, and it's probably affecting many users' votes.

There's a reason that, during elections, the polls are staggered in such a way that you can't watch TV and see who's winning on the other side of the country, because of the time difference.

Being able to see how others have voted always influences my vote, even when I don't want it to.

I know it's probably something in the board code that can't be changed, but it would be nice.

As far as I'm aware, poll results on these boards ARE viewable before you vote.

I can't recall ever starting a poll, so I don't know . . . is there an option to turn that off?

Your lack of will power amuses me.

You shouldn't give into peer pressure man. That's how you start smoking and eventually wind up penniless and living on the streets.

Well, it's not the sort of thing someone wants to admit, but it's true. No other board I visit shows poll results before voting. It's just a better way.

Make your own decision don't go by what others want.
If you vote with the majority because its the majority then whats the point of polls? If everyone just votes because they want to be with the majority, then all the polls are pointless!

    Vote with how YOU feel.
Its like saying that you want to know who wins the Presidental election before you vote, that way you can vote for the winner. Whats the point?

    Just make your own decision.
After you vote you can see what others think.
Before you vote it should be about your actual opinion and not what is popular.

I've always wondered that as well.

Maybe if someone asks ZeroSleep nice enough that he could look into it ;)

Why bother zerosleep with such a pointless thing?

Vote on what you think! Not what others think.

I cringe at the thought of ZeroSleep spending time on something like this when there are much more pressing matters to fix/implement.

    I agree with Bobthegoon.

    a) There are more important matters.
    b) people should vote how they feel, not how others voted.
