I just logged into my account - I have 101 new messages, all of them from this site giving me the password information to many of my accounts, none of which I requested. What's this about?

You have 101 socks? Nice going. But seriously, I don't know why you'd get that. Probably some glitch. Or maybe you requested password info and it sent you the password for every account. I think it does that when you use the same email for every account.

If you have 101 socks, then clicking the request password button(or even if someone else tried logging in as you and pressed that button, I think?) would do that. Other than that, could be a board glitch.

I have maybe 4 socks and the e-mails only addressed three of them - the messages were sent dozens of times per sock.

Then it's likely that you(or someone else), requested your password alot. :)

It means someone tried to hack one of your accounts.

Yeah but the account names and password will only go to accounts registered to whatever e-mail address is in the "Private E-Mail" field in your profile.

One can surmise that if they're requesting your account passwords, they probably have access to the appropriate e-mail address and the passwords for that e-mail account aren't the same as the JC accounts being requested.

Someone tried to hack my account? Well that's an interesting coincidence... Too bad I don't have evidence to support this, though.

    That'd be my guess.

I stongly suggest changing the password to the private e-mail account you have listed in all of those accounts, btw. Or changing the private e-mail account completely.

Welcome to my world. I change my passwords often now thanks to my account being hacked [face_plain]

Okay, I changed the password on both of the e-mails. I don't have to change the password for my accounts, too, do I?

I would if I were you - unless you want to take the chance of it happening again that is. ;)

It could just be that you have a similar email to someone else and when they typed in their adress they go yours by mistake, and, because they hadn't put in the right address, they kept doing because they weren't getting any password reminders.

With four of my socks, that are registered on two different e-mail accounts?
