[GEN]Special symbol menu

I know we have basic mark-up codes for highlighting, underlining, italicizing, and bolding text. Is there a faq out there for special text symbols not available in the Courier font used in the "Post Message" function (being that its not WYSIWIG). For instance, the ALT function or keystroke that will put the ellipsis above the letter "E".

I don't know how to access this character map.

Ah well, it's a pain in the but to make the funky letters on a laptop without that keypad anywho.

It should be under Program Files-Accessories-System Tools.

If not, then there is something similar in Word you can open (Insert Symbol) which will let you copy and paste.

 

You can also try Start -> Run -> charmap [enter]

You don't need to have character maps. You just need to know alt+130:

Forceboat Parté.

All other characters are not needed.
