Yes, you do get the ability to speak three bonus languages due to your intelligence. Basic is free for everyone to understand, though not everyone can vocalize it (such as Wookies or Jawas). You also gain the ability to speak your species' native language for free as well.

Oh yes, I'm back from my vacation. Hopefully I can get this started soon, although there may be some slowdown in the month of April and the first part of May, as my dreaded final exams are coming. But my summer's pretty free, so I'm hoping you'll stick with me for this part.

 

Here's hoping no one actually forgot about me in the time that I vanished.

Do any of your characters know/love/are related to any other character? I'm trying to figure out how you'll all match up.

 

Well, Erik has a Reputation +4 and the book says +4 or higher would mean he's known or well-known. So, he might be known to the others.

 

Sounds interesting enough. But it doesn't explain what everyone else is doing. Or where everyone else is at the moment...

 

I'm, uh ... a little occupied with uni work at the moment. I've got an assignment due tomorrow, a midterm on Friday and somehow got talked into going to a ball on Thursday, so I may or may not have time to finish my bio by this week. Sorry. But it'll be done by the weekend, (almost) definitely)

 

That's find. I don't mind if players have more important issues, just that they drop a note so I know where they are, so to speak.

 

I'm thinking about starting a new thread for the game, and then using this one for for Out of Character discussion and other people commenting, offering suggestions, etc. I trust this is okay with everyone?

 

Its fine, but you have to ask NaboosPrincess first since its against the rules to have more than one thread for a game unless given permission or the game warrants it.

 

I'm interested in playing this. Is it too late to join?

 

Not really, depending on what happens, there's usually room for one more in a group. It just means I get to throw more things, or a wider variety of/tougher obstacles.

 

It's alright, perhaps you have too many as it is. I'll just watch your first game, see how it goes.

 

Well, ladies and gentlemen, now this is the general discussion thread thanks to the editing powers of NabooPrincess (hail!). So that means I'll start up the thread for this game once I make sure that everyone who's playing has submitted a sheet. In the mean time, anyone with questions, comments, anecdotes, etc., relating to Star Wars D20 can post here.

5)If any of you readers out there want to have a small cameo with a character for the hell of it, because they were in the same general region at the same time, pass me a note, something like "hey, if they're passing through Nar Shadda, stop by the Deep Dive Cantina and Grill, it's where my character works, and he loves new people", and I'll see what I can do. I like such things because it gives a greater sense of cohesion, and I've done it before with some of my other RPGs, because it expands the feel of the universe.

Does that include understanding Shyrriiwook since its virtually impossible for a Human to speak it.

 

Yes, that's what I mean. By "Speak", for Shyriiwook, I mean "understand, but not vocalize". Well, you might vocalize it, but then the wookies would laugh at you. I'm just curious as to whether or not that language came from spending points in "speak language", or you just decided to take it for fun. Either way, you have at least 2 more languages.

Yes, I know. I'll just count it as one of your three. Which means you can speak 2 more, of whatever takes your fancy, although I'd recommend picking something that makes at least some sense, such as something that's not a language spoken on a planet in the outer rim that no one's heard of.

Biography: Riana grew up on Coruscant, raised by her frequently absent father whose work as a freighter pilot required him to be away for long periods of time. Her father?s absences meant that he had little to no control over - or knowledge of - Riana?s actions. By her late teens, she had become a skilled slicer with a talent for breaking into secured areas and covering her tracks. She soon moved out on her own and, using a variety of pseudonyms, took on freelance jobs and projects (some of which were decidedly shady) and continued to build her reputation as a slicer. Personality: Riana is a bit of a loner, with a strong independent streak and self-confidence bordering on arrogance. In terms of slicing, she has an amoral streak, in that she tends to be more concerned about whether something is possible rather than ?right?.
