I was just wondering what everyone uses to light their films with. I had happened upon a Gorilla Filmmaking site which listed cheap hardware lights as an alternative to fancy schmancy studio lights, but their page has since been removed and I'm back at square 1 for finding a semi cheap solution to lighting. Any nifty suggestions?

I had two, flourescent shop lights ($15 ea.)to light my blue screen, two 300W halogen worklights ($10 ea.) plus two incandescent floods ($3 ea.) for lighting the actors/actresses.

Also, had one extra flood not really attached to anything that I could just move around when I needed to fill in a shadow.

You can also check out DaftMaul's DarkSkies lighting rig here.

    Have fun!
