So far nothing as elaborate in canon other than the Marvel series and Lords of the Sith, but from Legends you may want to check Darth Vader and the Lost Command. IMO it's a good comic that takes place a couple of months after ROTS (or shortly after Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader) and explores quite a bit of the inner struggles experienced by the "young" Darth Vader.

Wasn't "Lost Command" one of those awful emo sadsack Vader stories? I can never remember which one of the "Darth Vader and the X" comics was which.

Yes, that's the one :p I get it why some people didn't like it, but I did as I thought it made sense for Vader to be so conflicted considering the story takes place one or two months after he starts wearing the suit. Or in other words, having a Vader as ruthless and cold as in Rogue One for example would be a bit out of place that soon after ROTS.

I absolutely hated that story. I would have bought Star Wars Legends Epic Collection - The Empire 1 if it hadn't included that story.

Anyone already read the novel called The Last Jedi? And what about The Last of the Jedi? Looks awesome... It is worth?

The Last Jedi was good from what I remember. It's a follow up to the Coruscant Nights trilogy though so you should read those first.

I haven't read it sorry. @Iron_lord might be able to tell you what it's like though.

I thought it was pretty good as a follow up to the Jedi Quest series - does a good job of showing the early Inquisitorius. The main character is Ferus Olin from the Jedi Quest series - Anakin's main rival, who left the Order.

How close does the Vader ongoing end to ESB?

    Same question for Star Wars.

We don't really know, it's Marvel, they play with time.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Vader #25 takes place about a year after ANH. But as @Jedi Ben said, it's somewhat vague.

I like it - but a lot of people say that Anakin is excessively self-centred and ruthless in it - much closer to AOTC Anakin than TPM Anakin.

I've read that Palpatine intended to invade other galaxies. Where was this stated or suggested?

Can't tell you. Infer the obvious conclusion.

I thought he wanted to stop potential invasions, not cause them.

Okay, so in Bloodline we found out that

    in case anyone hasn't read
Ben doesn't know his grandfather was Darth Vader!!!!

But in the EU, the Solo kids (and Ben Skywalker too but I'm focusing on the Solos) seemed to always know. Was this all just gradually explained over time? How did Han and Leia do it in Legends?

Are there any novels or other pieces of information on this? I tried looking on Wookieepedia, but I didn't have much luck.

I think it could be Dark Empire Sourcebook.

Thank you, as I also was curious about this. I found this in Chapter Two, under the section "Emperor Palpatine":

It seemed to happen right before Tatooine Ghost, because they were keeping it a secret before then and then suddenly in TG every podracer and brat on the street knew about it. And were like "Yeah? So? Wanna medal?" whenever Leia brought it up. As much as I love the old EU, the new EU blew it away in that regard.

We wanna be in the room where it happened
    The room where it happened
We just assume that it happens
But no one else is in
