Ok it is that time of year where all the shows are coming back...new ones are starting.

This fall is going to be rough on my schedule!!!

My DVR is being weird. When I set it to record something and I specify only new episodes it records every single showing of the show. Which sucks because they'll occasionally do marathons.

 

Looks like my Mondays are going to be tv night, first Heroes/how I met your mother (need to figure out how we are going to watch both at once or get an old fashioned Vee-Cee-Arr tape), then Big bang, then Castle...

 

Monday and Thursday.

I love DWTS...I am a dork.
I have started watching Castle too. I enjoy it a lot.
of course Heroes...

seriously? GIVE Me a break!!! it is a TV show...*grumble* HECK i am a christian and i find NO offense to it.

BTW Sarah i was too tired after the game went into OT and only 4 hours of sleep...watching it FIRST thing when i get home!! will text you then.

 

I watched Vampire diaries last night, not impressed at all. I'll give one or two more episodes, but its a little too much like everything else that is out there but with REALLY bad acting.

 

I was thinking it was like Gossip girl mixed with Twilight... not that I have actually watched either of them.

 

I thought about watching that last night, but instead I passed out half on the bed at 9:45 last night. I woke up at 1 am with the baby still on the bed (I was curved around her at almost a right angle) and very groggy.

 

Vampire Diaries got better ratings than the Supernatural premier

 

everything is pushed back an hour here...stupid channel 2. Supernatural doesn't start until 9. booooo

 

It was like Dawson's Creek meets Twilight. It could be just the pilot sometimes I think they are the worst episodes, even though they are suppose to make you want to watch the series.

 

It starts at 8pm here, but I don't usually get home until 8:45, so I usually have to wait until 9pm.

I do the same thing. I can hardly stand to sit through any commercials anymore.........I'm sooo spoiled.

Hmm... ok. Well we'll see. I get really bored during commercials. They replay Supernatural on another channel at 9pm, so I could just watch that so I'm not tempted to fastforward.

 

ok i just watched it...man oh man...wonder where this is going.

I watched Vampire Diaries the other night. I read the books when I was younger, and it's weird to be in the position of having read the books and then seeing the show. This time I'm one of those "but they changed it!" people...

So let's see, off the top of my head, things changed include:

- name of the town (originally Fells Church)
- appear to have eliminated the character Meredith, who was Elena's other best friend. Too bad; she was a good character with a level head who provided balance.
- turned Elena's 4 year old sister into a moody, drug-dealing teenaged brother. Meh...?
- Stefan and Damon are suppose to be 500 yrs old, from the Italian Renaissance; not ~100 yrs old from Fell-- sorry, "Mystic Falls"
- What's up with this whole "Uncle" thing...? Totally new character; the brothers didn't have any relatives in the books
- Elena was originally blue-eyed and blond; Bonnie was a curly-redhead. *shrug* Whatever, not so important.
- I don't think Matt was Vicky's brother in the books...
- Oh, and Stefan stayed away from Elena for more than half of the first book. Literally wouldn't have anything to do with her (apparently didn't trust himself).
