Cool clip, it has the same feel as seeing the band playing live. Like when they play at Ric's. The shots are tight and edgy. Although it could have shown Ben's onstage 'persona' a little more, I like the feel of it.
It definately has an independant feel to it.

Keep an ear out for Gentle Ben on the Jays.

I suppose it was pretty good for no money but it didn't exactly set the world on fire for me. I understand that the song is the title track to the album but they could have picked a better first single.

I like the song, but I too can think of a better song for them to have launched with. However, this is what we've been given so I'll be happy with whatever else comes I guess.
I wonder what their no.1 fan thinks...?
    :D

It was about what I expected. I think the style was far more suited to local act 'gazoonga attack' (who actually made the clip for them) than GB et al.

Their CD is over produced as well, but having known three of the band members through various incarnations for around a decade now, it's what they always do and they never seem to learn.

Gentle Ben is going to have to rely on their live act to make it, until they get some decent advice from someone who knows somethings about... stuff.

strange seeing the latest trend is to go for that 'raw' sound.

I suppose some musos just get exited when the have new toys to play with in the studio.

Fortunately their live act is great, and I'd like to see them plugged a bit more. They have a single on the Jays, but not Album of the Week. [face_worried]

Some times it takes a while (after release) to be picked as feature album.

Goob's refering to a conversation we had with local rock god big chief wahooti regarding sydney act 'city limits' (or was it city lights? i get confused) being the J's album of the week a coupla weeks ago.

    city who?
(edit: featuring former sidewinder and current polaroid shane 'melds' melder on skins)

Wow, that reviewer really dug their sound.

I may have to resign my post as GB's #2 fan

(I think that guy with the scraggly hair is probably #1)
