Were Talon and Jedi Killer the same character?

Wait, Talon from the EU was at one point part of the story? Thank goodness that didn't happen.

 

There's a few concept arts of her in the Art of TFA book and Pablo Hidalgo confirmed she was in GL's treatment for TFA. His version of the character probably wouldn't have been a Sith so maybe she would have been a completely different character from the EU.

 

Sounds like he only wanted Talon because he thought she looked cool. Why am I not surprised?

PH doesn't make it sound like Jedi Killer replaced her, IMO. I take it that they were both in the story treatment as separate characters.

You really do. It’s phenomenal. And even though it never mentions Lucas, some of the earliest stuff is clearly drawn from his “treatments”.

 

Don't care for her personally. She's just a Twi-lek with a Darth Maul paint job.

 

Twi'leks have some of the best designs though.

Some of my favorites pieces are those made by multiple artists. Also worth noting is that the book states that GL provided his episode 7 treatment to the Visualists, no mention of any outline for 8 or 9. It was the only mention of GL for that matter.

 

j.w. rinzler took down his blog about the st and when i tweeted pablo hidalgo a while back he said we wouldn't get any of the gl info until at least after this trilogy is over.

 

Jakku concepts look incredible. Kira sounds cool. Oh well.

 

With a strong dash of stripper thrown in for good measure. The only rationale for a Sith warrior wearing that outfit is male wish-fulfillment. Perhaps George is still stuck in that world? I don't know. What I do know is that we dodged a bullet.
