    HERE

Well, the SW Saga is going to be re-released each year in 3D so long as the box office holds up, and there is the still to be made SW tv show, so he is not 100% done(I hope).

At the end of the day, I think that even the haters can put aside the issues and join the chorus of fans to say, "Thanks for everything, George."

He's still making movies, just Art House stuff (and a new Indiana Jones apparently) after Red Tails.

I think this is a good thing, Star Wars and most of his best stuff has always worked better when helmed by someone else (Indy, ESB, hopefully Red Tails). The Clone Wars is a good show and is largely managed without him, as I assume the Live Action TV show will be too if it ever gets produced.

    George Lucas retires from filmmaking

Now he will have more time to further edit the original Star Wars trilogy into big-budget YouTube poop.

It sucks that the comic book guys on the Internet have gotten to him. C'mon George, we're not all like that, I'm not like that. Don't be so glum. But if you want to make the small, arty, independent films you've been talking about for years, go right ahead. Maybe it's time you did that, in a "put up or shut up" kind of way.

He financed Howard via Lucasfilm, but didn't write or direct it.

Though I'm pretty sure that the chances of someone surviving having his heart ripped out and that heart still beating are zero. Shame on you, George. We've always depended upon you for realism.

I don't mind the lack of realism. I just found it amusing that George decided to defend the fridge scene with "But the scientists said so."

The media got carried away with this, he isn't retiring.

Also, he's written and directed six movies, two of which are classics (American Graffiti and ANH). Two are good (ROTS and THX1138), two are bad although nowhere near as bad as the hype says.
    He also created Indiana Jones.

Not a record to be ashamed of.

    Red Tails- I'm there.

The fact that there are only two professional reviews up on RT so close to release makes me wary.

That was nominally a supernatural event (likewise the Ark). The fridge is fundamentally different.

However his mysterious journey via submarine is equally implausible.

    There's also the using-a-raft-as-a-parachute(kind of)-and-a-sled-and-surviving-a-waterfall-plunge thing.
