George Washington Parade, 2/21/05, Alexandria VA

Garrison Tyranus of the 501st has been invited to march in the George Washington Parade in Old Town Alexandria, VA on President's Day, and we'd like to invite you to join us! The parade begins at 1 PM on Monday, 2/21/05.

At last year's parade, there were thousands of spectators, 3500 marchers, and our group had a photo on the front page of the Washington Post Metro section.

We will probably need to be at the parade start site by noon. We will make arrangements to meet prior to the parade, change, and drive in together, since parking is limited. Marchers should be in Star Wars costumes, although we can use some people in Star Wars t-shirts to act as photographers or "Trooper Scoopers" (to pick up dropped trooper armor along the route...)
