    Ich bin nicht so alt.

    How would you say:

Yoda-speak is difficult. It doesn't sound so funny in German either.

Wenn neunhundert Jahre du bist alt, wirst aussehn du nicht gut.

    I think that's the translation...

    Okay,

so so far we can Say hello, and say how old we are.

What else do you think we should need to learn...

We need to learn enough to start a secondary thread...

    * Who are you?/What is your name

    We can try...

Besides, I did German in Secondary school for 2 years, so I did know the basics, but sadly haven't been to Germany to remember it/use it, so it was forgotten a bit...

    (I can speak some French...)

Okay, we'll doa refresher course then. It's easier if you don't have to start at zero.

    Oh, btw zero is Null

I can't speak french. I can say tha in French, but I have no idea how to type it. I don't like French, IMO, it sounds funny...

Hallo, MsLanna. Ich gelerne Deutsch. Ich bin achtundzwanzig.

I'm trying to teach myself German on my own because I don't have time for it at university.

Lola rennt is a good movie.I liked it. But I am not sure if it's good material to learn German from...

    Hallo, Ish.
'ge' is a prefix to turn a verb into 1) perfect tenses (present and past) or a gerund.
Is teaching yourself working. I think that would be very difficult.
    Was kannst du schon?

    Hallo dafty.
mire geht es gut. Und dir?

    Willst du noch mehr Voakbeln?

    What about question words?

    Wer - who
    Was - what
    Wo - where
    Warum - why
    Wie - how

Okay, so lets try some mix and match...

    Wer geht es dir?

'Wie geht es die' is a fixed expression that literally means: 'How goes it you'
If you now change 'how' to who, it doesn't make sense anymore.

    to go - gehen
    I go - ich gehe
    you go - du gesht
    he/she /it goes - er/sie/es geht
    we go - wir gehen
    you go - ihr geht
    they go - sie gehen

And that's just the present tense...

    That's 'Wer bist du'
It's built with a form of 'sein' -> 'to be'
But that one has hell of a conjugation...

    I see.

    Wer bist du?

So we have Who are you and how are you...

    Where are you?

Ich bin zu hause (I am at home)

    Gute Nacht. (Good night)
