That's awesome. Those are two of the three bands I've never seen that I pray I'll be able to...somehow, someday. The other elusive one is Iron Maiden.

Sounds like it's time for you to book a trip to Serbia. :p

I've seen Maiden twice, both times for free, funnily enough. They are great live.
And if you wanna come to Serbia to see Motorhead and Priest... well... they're like a week apart, now's the time :p

I have been to 2 concerts as an adult. When the EMP opened in Seattle they had a mega concert which was pretty cool. I also saw New Edition in Seattle. That was cool too. I am a fan of mid 80's to late 90's R&B.

Sounds great to me. Perhaps Bruce can swing by my local airport and fly me over there.

Darth Tunes - First time I found out that former Owl & 76er Pepe Sanchez is an announcer for the Lakers. Noel's having a quiet night compared to breaking rookie records in our last game but, so far, this is pretty tight.

That's not too surprising when two terrible teams play each other; Jordan Clarkson might be having an off night thus far, but he's one of the few Lakers to have made a good impression this season.

That was by far our sloppiest game of the season. Even before Tarik Black decided to poke Noel in the eye. :p But, Lin was a stud for you in the fourth.

Lin's been semi-decent-to-bad all season, so to have a game like he did tonight was a nice respite, as was the win obviously.

Yeah, we appreciate the win, too. Since we desperately need your draft pick to fall out of the top 5 so we can use it at 6.

*pops back in* Hey, all. Hope you're all doing well. :)

Anyhoo, catching up with college is getting very difficult and my system refuses to shake off that rotten virus that knocked me over last week, but I'm refusing to complain. Also, it's amazing how the good mood gained from watching 'Return of the Jedi' lasts all the way into morning....:p

This is turning out to be far more successful than our Ackmena Monday campaign.

If there is a bright center to discussing Star Wars, drudging up recycled PT tropes is the discussion that its furthest from.

Hey! I combined two dead-horse topics of ire and made something... beautiful.

It's okay. A profit is not depreciated in his own Home One.

a friend just posted that this morning to my wall. there seems to be a resurgence in 80's metal all of a sudden. I do like the visuals on that cartoon...old school. Ive seen all those bands priest, maiden, ozzy, orignal sabbath, dio,ac dc, ect cetera...what people seem to forget is that the girls of that era (graduate 86) subjected me to concerts or opening acts that consisted of winger, motley crue, whitesnake, poison, ratt, bon jovi, and every other hair band poser group out there. I was forced to watch a WASP show once. Nothing kills the metal mood faster than fake metal. I was actually glad to see grunge arrive until that got ruined by getting popular. I once took a nap at a judas priest concert when megadeath and testament opened for them....its not a good idea to open fast and end slow. In my experience the small club venue was always the best. Seeing bands like social distortion, the ramones, in small clubs seem awesomer. Big Arena rock should be played outdoors like a RocknRio or Monsters of Rock..of which both i attended.

You havent metaled until you have been to a metal concert in south america...they are NUTS down there. They make moshing look like a square dance.

Status - Alive! No hospital/ER visits this week (except to drop off a goodie basket to the ER and my nurses station) - WAY too many follow ups with GI specialist and cardiologists though - I think I have a 'new career' - professional patient!!

ETA - the only drawbacks are the (at last count) 8 bruises from the blood draws/IV's and I'm STILL scrubbing off that sticky residue from the monitor thingys... I was more wired than an X-wing.

Yeah I saw the promo video they made. I'd love to see it happen, and based on that page things look really good.

I still need to see Slammin' Salmon though; despite its mixed reviews, it still looks fun.
