My brother was a passenger in a terrible car accident this morning. He broke his back in 3 places. I feel like crap that I'm on the other side of the country and can't be there. My mom and dad said he isn't paralyzed thank god.

Y'know, of the major Boston teams I probably care least about the Celtics, and now that Pierce and Garnett play for the Nets, I may switch loyalties. They've been doing really well and seem to be on the rise while the Celtics... not so much. That, and perhaps living in Brooklyn for 4 years affected me more than I'd like to admit.

I'm only marginally interested in basketball anyway. Only thing that draws me to the Celts is hometown loyalty.

And yeah Rox, that sucks. I don't know much about back injuries, but here's hoping your brother makes a swift recovery.

I am interested in talking to online people. Maybe I didn't express myself correctly. Real-life talking is hard when you have to talk to customers for 8 hours a day.

Customers, particularly in retail, are way too full of themselves. The old adage "the customer is always right" is one of the most ridiculous social conventions in existence. Am I bitter after having worked 8+ years in retail? Maybe.
