Ugh today was just awful. I feel like I've been re-living the PG rated Book of Job these past two months.

 

Hmmm....tomorrow is my 10 year anniversary here. Not sure how I feel about that....

I wish we could be that awesome. But I'm afraid my boss would freak out if I said something like that. We always have to behave so polite I get sick sometimes. Sweet sugar coated stuff, causing instant diabetus.

 

I've yet to try it. I know I'd like it, though.

 

My 15 year is coming up next month so don't feel too bad. So just look at it that way

 

I've seen several Christmas ads on television this week. So depressing.

She's been a courtside season ticket holder for the Lakers for over 20 years. Along with her pal (ie: life partner) Kay Harrington-sitting to her right-, they attend just about every home game (they might miss 1 or 2 games) each season.





There she is next to Sharon Stone & Nicholson (circa 1996).








There she is again, this time next to who I believe is Rebecca Broussard (and Jack, of course), circa the early 90's.

 

Finally getting myself back into a decent working and productive rhythm. Dunno why, but this year has been very hard as far as getting motivated and getting off my ass was concerned.
Feels good, hah.

Yesterday was my 22nd, and my friends are supposedly taking me out to dinner tonight. I have no idea though.

 

Aside from my frustrating job search, I'm doing well.

I'm going in to work to watch Thor 2 in a couple hours. I love it when I go in to screen movies early and I get to sit in the auditorium all by myself. I know it's weird but I like going to the movies by myself, no distractions of my son needing to go to the restroom every 15 minutes or people with cell phones out.

 

I don't mind going to sporting events by myself, but when I'm out at a movie, I prefer to have someone with me. Now, there have been situations in which me & my buddies have gone to a particular film in which we hoped there would be nobody else there, so that way we could have the the theater to ourselves... unfortunately, someone always showed up.

 

OK let me rephrase that...I like going to the movies with my wife or other adults. But when I bring my son to a movie I know that I'll be seeing it again because he always has to pee a million times or wants more popcorn. But I do enjoy the empty auditorium from time to time, it's peaceful.

 

Well, just saw the new Hobbit trailer... and again with Peter Jackson's superhuman flying unnecessary overpowered bullet-timing kung fu Matrix invincible Elf fetish...

Something I've been curious about: Is the the purpose of screening films is to see if there's something wrong with the copy given to your theater or is just a perk of the position you have?

 

To make sure there is nothing wrong with it. Back when we used film still we had far more issues to worry about(mostly with scratches or building the movie incorrectly). With digital projection we have things like pixelation, sound issues or corrupt data to worry about.
