Something about more movies.
I went to bed around 3:30 in the am today (after being awake since 1:30pm), woke up at about 5:15am, and haven't been able to go back to sleep since... I've needed almost a liter of Pepsi to keep me awake during this Laker game.
I'm also apprehensive about spinoff SW films... what's wrong with getting various characters their due in a Episode VII-IX format?
I don't really care about the new movies. As long as Episode 7 is good (and it has Mark Hamill coming back as Luke even as just a ghost) I'm happy.
Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday night. First track meet is on Saturday, so I'm a little nervous.
The Lakers won & I stuffed my face with Taco Bell, so it's been a great evening here in the Tunick household.
Anyone around here today?
Too much lo mein need to sleep this off!
I drank a lot of tequila yesterday, so that combining with my 90 minutes of total sleep over the period of the previous 24 hours gave me an insane dream earlier today (slept for about 10 hours)... a Law & Order movie, if it was directed by Quentin Tarantino.
When did this part of the forums get so weird?
Oh, wait...never mind.
Nothing new over here, except that I finally got to fulfill a lifelong dream by learning archery! Other than that it's been boring.
What kind of targets did you shoot at?
Just one target at an indoor range; a 6-ft diameter circle from a distance of about 20 yards. For someone who's never shot before I only missed the target once and got about four shots in the center ring.
I took some archery lessons back when I was a boy scout. I was a pretty good shot, same thing with a .22 rifle.
Tunick, I thought about you when I saw that Lakers score this morning.
I've been around; I was sick last week and both kiddos got it this week (sinus **** with a fever), today was my first full day back at work.
No archery here, but I did learn how to shoot tin cans off tree stumps with my Dad's .22 when I was a kid. I was good at it too. [/obligatory "yeah, she's Southern" post]
Wow, no 'bullseye womprats' reference? For shame.
LOL, no shooting live animals.
Shooting tin cans doesn't make you a hillbilly. My dad got me a BB gun for Christmas. We've been 'plinking' targets out in the middle of the desert.
The last (and only) time I ever shot was on the Fourth of July in 2005, when our family went shooting in the desert just north of L.A. county... we just used the rocks out there as our targets.
I shot a magnum of some kind when I visited my grandfather in Phoenix Arizona back in January of 2011. Won't be doing that again anytime soon. Recoil made me uncomfortable.
Funny, it's a Daisy, too! But no, we're VERY careful about ricochet; no aiming at metal or rocks!
Saw that the other night (as me & my brother were out getting dinner)... I had my brother park the car on a side street so the both of us could get a good picture.
