I need to go out & buy more beer for myself, but I'm a terrible procrastinator.

Congrats! No more training do you require, already know you that which you'll need. (But go to college for the parties) :)

I had a 6-pack of the Summer Ale earlier this week... really enjoyed. Loved the slight, tangy taste it had.

Earlier this afternoon, my mother dropped by (since she normally babysits on Friday's) with my cousin Michael, which was a pleasant surprise... and after a few minutes, he seemed to have made a new friend:

Naturally, Lucy barked at him when he left. :p

Must be a Chihuahua thing. When we had one, he'd bark at us when we changed clothes. [face_laugh]

They tend to be nervous little things.

A little guinea pig I found on the street (strange enough in itself) and adoped is the most nervous little thing I have ever seen.
    But she's also the cutest.

Well, yeah... I can only imagine that a street abandoned, vagabond guinea pig who has lived on the hard streets, washing windshields with a squeegee... and doing other unimaginable acts to fill her stem... would be nervous.

    Indeed.
But she has all the comforts she can wish for, basically roams all over the place and does whatever she wants. Obsessive glutton, though. Climbs up your leg if she sees you eating anything and she didn't get any.

Aww, how cute! I used to have guinea pigs and while they're nervous, they're very sweet. :)

Good morning! I hope everyone's doing better than I am...pretty sure I broke my toe. :(

Are you getting it checked or are you simply gonna roll with your assumption?

I'm not going to get it checked because I haven't had health insurance for almost eight years. Plus the last time I was at the hospital I had a panic attack.

At any rate, the toe in question is swollen, bruised, and hurts like heck. :( To be safe I'm treating it like it's broken; it's taped up and I'm icing it right now.

If I remember correctly, toes tend to heal without setting. I may be recalling that horrifically inaccurately. Wish my wife was home. She is the med-grad. Actually, I'd feel better if you ignore this post, altogether.

    Happy Memorial Day weekend!
I work all this weekend and Memorial Day (time and a half! :D ), but that's okay. I said I'd work Memorial Day and Labor Day to get off the 4th of July since it's my favorite of the holidays that my hospital considers a holiday. I even offered to work Christmas to be off on the 4th, but I plan on working X-mas anyway so that also wasn't a hardship on my part.

A stray guinea pig... how cute! (And kinda strange, finding a stray!)

Usually, the only thing they are going to do for a broken toe is tape it to the one beside it, unless it's a compound fracture.

A little late, but I'm here to say the Sam Adam's summer seasonal beers suck. :) not a fan of the spring either.
I'm all about the fall/winter beers.

Don't fruit the beer. Man law!

In the last year or two there has been a zergrush of fruit flavored beer here, that tastes like piss with oranges. One company had a very simple campaign for their comeback which said "Beer with the taste of beer."
    It was rather effective.

I love fruit-flavored beer, especially blueberry (Samuel Adams and Kennebunkport) and lemon (Shock Top).

I know from YJCC posts that I'm the exception and not the rule though.

Granted, they can be refreshing and I tried a very good lemon flavored beer in Venice a few years back, but I like my beer to be beer hah.

Dunno much about American beer, though.

Your face is full of ****!
I've tried an endless amount of fruit beers. I just don't like them. Oddly, the closest to liking one was a banana flavored stout.
