Funny. I have the same urge when it comes to musical equipment (in the market for a new amp. upgrade time). I've been pretty good recently when it comes to Star Wars merch (mostly because no new figures have come out from Hasbro lately around here)

Well, nothing comes here as far as I know, so whatever I'd want I'll have to get off Amazon. Which is not that bad, cheaper that way actually.

Driving eh? Haven't done that in a while, I opted to go green and get myself a cycle, also more economical and keeps me fit. :)

Budgets? I'm on a tight one, just bought a house so decorating is the priority. :( I'd love to add to my merchandise collection, but alas no can do

    Amazon is awesome.
Budget's tight here too. And I'de love to be able to bike to work, but work is a 45 minute car ride away.

I bought a Mustang from my boss before I found out my wife was pregnant and was planning on fixing it up myself. Now that my budget is tight I've had to scrap that project for now and am for the time being stuck with my old Fiesta.

Speaking of children, my girls just left for summer camp today. [face_party]:p It's going to be a lot quieter around my house and I'm not used to quiet.

I've always driven Toyotas and Hondas, not out of refusal to drive another kind of car but because that's how it worked out. It'll be awhile before I replace my Prius but I have already debated between a Prius V and a Honda CRV. The downside to Toyotas is that I had to replace the water pump in my Prius at around 80K miles and I had to do the same with the Tercel I drove in the 90s, whereas my old Civic never required any non- routine maintenance until the starter went out at around 130K miles.

Now all I need to see invented is a hybrid or electric CRV.

Darth Chiznuk, enjoy. My kids go to their grandparents in Massachusetts for a week every summer; I'm always ready to see them when they get home but the quiet house is nice.

Thanks anakinfansince1983. :) I joke around but I said my goodbyes to them last night and left early for work so I didn't have to see them leave. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to my kids.

I don't have kids. :p Anyway, today's driving lesson went well... starting to feel more comfortable behind the wheel. I also had to make a trip to the supermarket... ended up spending $80. Yikes.

Good luck on the driving lessons, DarthTunick!

It's currently 109 degrees outside...in the shade. [face_nail_biting] And later we get to drive to the airport to pick up my brother, who's visiting from Utah. His flight comes in at 11 PM. At least it'll be cooler then.

I'm going to a house party tomorrow night ( [face_plain] ), so I'm hoping that it's at least in the 80's when I arrive (as most of the festivities will be occurring in the backyard).

    :p

    ^^^ Oh hell yeah.

We're getting a good thunderstorm now, which might bring temperatures down to the 80s.

    Hang in there, JainaSoloYJK. :)

My son cracks me up all the time. We were watching TPM tonight and he told me that he liked Leia more than Padme. I asked him why and he told me he "likes 'em sassy." Those were his exact words! [face_laugh]

I assume you've got plans for early tomorrow that will prevent you from sleeping in?

No, not tonight he didn't. He was happy because I let him stay up a little later than usual.

Armen... what on earth are the Dodgers doing tonight...??? [face_hypnotized]

My team honestly is not that good this season.

On the flip side, the Phillies have FINALLY found their offense! :p

This is a rarity. The Phils really stink this year as well. It's painful to watch sometimes.

The one night in which I'm not watching the Dodgers this week (I had plans to go out, so I didn't bother to DVR the game, but those plans have fallen through... I'll be heading over to Denny's shortly :p ), and this (15-1 in favor of the Phillies in the 8th) happens. Holy hell! [face_plain]
