About a 30 minute drive.
Ahhhh. That region of the country I would very much like to visit one day, particularly Boston.
Who do football fans in LA root for now? chargers, raiders, or rams?
[Looks around, notices all the new furniture in the house, and lots of new people]
Still, there's something familiar about this place...as a long time user of TheForce.net, I'm taking my place in line.
Oh, you mean american football...
In seriuosness to the football question, all of the above. There's lots of Raiders fans, a good handful of 49ers fans, and a lot of old Rams fans too. The Chargers fans are really more just San Diego people. LA folks know better than to root for such a bad team.
Aside from all of that Rachel, there's also all the transplants (solojones & Bill Simmons for example) who root for their home teams... and there are those who are all over the place (my brother roots for the Saints, one of his dear friends is a Packer fan).
1 more LA football question. whose games are shown most often in the LA area? if the chargers & raiders are both playing at 4:00, who will cbs put on in LA? here in RI we get the patriots as our home team and every game is shown in our area. we also get most of the giant games.
What's with the hot dogs???
You don't honestly want to know. Trust me, please... Edit out that question before he answers you.
it's semi phallic, but mostly about kayem being delicious
"Gimme your hat."
"'Cause I'm gonna puke in it!"
I did warn you...
no, it's cool, it's kosher
It's actually split... each team get their fair share of air time here.
@A Chorus of Disapproval: What's all of this about hot dogs?
See Forcefed's contribution above...
One nice thing about North Carolina: one NFL team to root for. One downside to that: they've sucked lately. The bright side to that: they haven't sucked as badly as our NBA team.
Ahhhhhh. Missed it earlier.
@anakinfansince1983: Aside from the Panthers, natural parks, and the snow, anything else about North Carolina that's niiiiice?
The Blue Ridge Parkway can be spectacular.
*sigh* We used to have the Saints. But through a tragic comedy of errors, they have gotten themselves dismantled to the point that they might be obscure again. However... We did beat the Falcons. In lieu of Sean Peyton returning next year, I'll take that.
@DarthTunick: Fall and spring. Our summers are five months of pure hell and our winters exist barely more than yours do, but fall is spectacular and spring is pretty nice as well.
The mountains, including the Blue Ridge Parkway and my alma mater, Appalachian State University.
The Outer Banks--great beaches, historical sites and seafood. The Seafood Festival every October in Morehead City (although I haven't been in awhile.)
Tar Heel basketball.
RC Cola and Moon Pies.
My God, this place still smells like stale beer and urine.
JIGGA wha...? JIGGA who...?
So...everyone, fill me in. I see FF is still hanging around. Who else from the old (old old old old old old) crew is still around?
