Agree. Beer is for breakfast, drink or be gone LOL JK!! I actually anything but a heavy drinker, just a cocktail or two at a approriate social gathering which has essentially now too since we basically don't go out anymore thanks to now playing zone with our kids since were outnumber 3-2!!

So my twin boys now love two movies from the 80's.

Good: They love Roger Rabbit.
Bad: They love The He Man Moive.

I do not have the heart to explain only one of those movies are good as perhaps as they get older, they will realize Who Framed Roger Rabbit is awful LOL! JK!!

The He-Man movie is a perfect example of where the studio really messed up an entire film. Goddard really understood the mythology of He-Man had an entirely different movie planned out which much of it taking place on Enternia (with Snake Mountain being in it) with He-Man & Co. only traveling to earth seeking help as his mother was from there, not on accident. But the studio cut the budget and wanted a much corny silly film therefore what Goddard had planned was only in the first ten minutes and really was just mention at more then shown (that is why the opening scenes of the movie are intense and kinda of dark but then soon as they get to earth, it turns into cheap slap****ck stuff). Therefore I always felt bad for Gary. He really got torch for it but most of what went wrong was out of his control. It kind of reminds me of Dawn of Justice as it hints at a much better movie then we saw. But Zack had total control over the fact that a much better movie was hinted at. Gary on the other hand simply had no control over the fact that the movie wanted a campy silly cheaply made movie. My best friend (who likes it better then me but does agree its not any good) correctly points out it's well cast. Frank Langella was great as Skeletor despite it being just a awful movie, ditto Meg Foster as Evil-Lyn. Jon Cypher and Chelsea Field were good fits for Man-At-Arms and Teela but Teela's few attempts to flirt with He-Man were pretty awful LOL! And let's face it, Dolph Lundgren is He-Man LOL!

It should been a fabulous movie but Cannon Films really messed it up and for once I wasn't upset to see a company go belly up considering what they did to He-Man and Superman. Now it seems like we are finally going to get the He-Man movie many in my generation always hope for...with McG in the directors chair!!

Edit: One total movie error though that Gobbard totally messed up is this. The earth scenes are supposed to take place in NJ and yet several times in the movie you can see palm trees as it's obviously they were filming in California LOL! I always wonder why they just didn't have the earth scenes take place someplace in Cali since it's painfully obvious it was filmmed there.

 

If you ever get a chance to see the documentary Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films, watch it immediately. It totally makes sense of He-Man and Superman IV.

Why does Jar Jar have hair?

 

It's Trump's hair. You can also see that Jar Jar's face does have the unique colour of Trump's skin.
This is of course done to demonstrate that Trump is as clumsy and stupid as Jar Jar, but I honestly think it is an unfair comparison - unfair to Jar Jar.
Trump is much, much worse: Jar Jar may have been clumsy and naive, but he was always a nice and friendly guy.

so everyone should watch the get down on netflix it needs a lot more love if we want a season 2, its really great done by bad luhrman and it tells a story of basically how hip hop first came about.

I'm back in Germany and still fight the jetlag.

My US vacation was nice, except Las Vegas. Everyone going there should be cautious. Orlando and Los Angeles were nice.

strange guys followed our travelling group there and seemed to observe us. Also a wrong charge at my credit card during my Las Vegas stay.

 

Felt like on the casino planet and lost all the money?

 

nah, I don't play or gamble at all. But since I paid most stuff there with cash, the wrong charge was easy to identify.

 

Cool. I've been meaning to check that out - I've heard nothing but positives. Also, check out the four-part documentary (also on Netflix) Hip-Hop Evolution. It's very in-depth and they interview pretty much everyone who was involved with the music during it's first 30 years...
