Crazy! I'm working on two books at the same time...and starting another for National Novel Writing Month in November!

In other news, my niece (the one born with the cleft lip and palate) has had her first surgery, which went extremely well. Her second is early next month. She's nine months old now, sitting up, almost crawling, and talking. If the poor thing wasn't so fussy I'd be on cuteness overload every single day.

And yes, she has seen some Star Wars already. I don't remember which one she saw, but she was squealing and laughing the whole time.

I have a secret burning desire to go to SW Celebration this year. But I'm not friends with a big enough SW fan to pull it off (I need a partner in crime, after all). It's giving me nerd angst.

 

I think you should go even if you have nobody to go with.

 

Celebration 7 is next year.

 

Agreed - I was supposed to go with my best friend, but he and his wife decided to buy a house instead (forgivable, really), so I'll likely be going solo (my wife is certainly not interested ).

 

I'm surprised at the lack of news showing up in the mainstream media with filming supposedly still happening, so avoiding stuff hasn't been a problem. My bookmark to this site is straight to the main messageboard page. I wonder how long this will last. I remember being so giddy about every little thing that popped up during the production of Attack of the Clones despite questing to be spoiler-free but my interest just snowballed and I've regretted it ever since.

Today I entered Elliott in the local park's dog costume contest - he didn't win, but I must say he made a pretty great Chewie:

 

There's something about a smiling dog that's always a instant mood improver.

C5 was the first one I went to and I pretty much went by myself (long story) and had a blast.

 

I really want to go -to C7- for at least a day, but I'm not sure if I can, what with my financial/job situation being what it is. I sort-of-kind-of wish it wasn't in Anaheim.

Yeah you'll need to walk around the whole time with fingers in your ears to avoid hearing anything!

 

I remember standing in line for Episode III...I wanted to avoid the "Homer Simpson Syndrome" and decided to bring my CD player (remember those?) with me. Going to celebration 7...if you had people using spoiler art as avatars here, I'm sure you'll have full-on cosplay of the new characters there. I guarantee it!

 

Officially going spoiler free and theforce.net free until EP VII comes out. I originally wasn't going to leave this forum, but it will be fun to watch a new Star Wars film without having thought about or discussed it too much beforehand. Yeah, I've discussed the film a little bit on here, but the movie's a year away and that's enough time to fully recharge.

I'm torn about CVII. I have a Jedi Master ticket. Got it when I was totally financially stable. Now I'm totally broke, and I have to decide whether I want to go to the convention more than I want to eat.

It's a tough decision.
