Wash, DC Get together: July 26th... malkie will be there!!

Ok, so Dave & Busters at White Flint Mall on Saturday the 26th. All we need is a time. We can go with 1pm, since that seems to be the usual, or we can dare to be different and go with some other time. Jack did point out that D&B is crowded at night, so this should definitely be a daytime thing.

D&B have a section with tables and chairs in the games room, we could sit, have the meeting, and nibble on some nachos or whatever. This, followed by a few circuits of daytona, a pod race, and of course Star Wars Trilogy Arcade.

Who else is in?

 

Sounds groovy. Except we're still meeting on the 19th for the meeting (last I checked). So we won't even have to mess around with the boring stuff, we can just have fun. (Although I'm sure a little bit of official business is sure to sneak in... )

Do they have multiple pod racers set up so we can all race at once?

Well, Heather and I will be there at the very least. And Heather's bringing one of her friends too. So you won't be all alone.

Well, this is just typical of my luck.
Let me explain:
This past weekend, I took off for a few days of vacation time. I was away from the computer for the most part, too. So, now I come back, and find that people are finally finalizing their plans to go with my suggestion for the 26th. There's only 1 problem now:
While I was on vacation, my boss called me to ask me to work overtime on the 26th. One of our employees had to leave town for 2 weeks due to a family emergency, and I'm just about the only one who can cover her shift that day. Since, at that time, the group meeting/get together seemed "iffy" for the 26th, I said yes.
So, now I'm stuck having to work from 10 AM - 8 PM on the 26th, many miles away from D&B.
Oh well, try to have fun without me guys (and gals).
And I'll try to make it to the Busch Gardens trip in the fall.
Also, I know I'll be going to the Maryland Rennaisance Festival in the fall, as well. If anyone else from the GS wants to go, maybe we can plan a group day to attend.

 

Sorry to hear that you can't make it... I think a trip to the ren fest is a must. I want to go on Sept 20 or 21st. It's pirate weekend!

 

Yeah, stateless, I'm upset that I can't go. I keep missing out on the group events. But I need the extra money, and at the time, I didn't know that people had finally decided to definitely do a group get-together on the 26th.
As for Ren Fest...
I think I'll start a thread about that!
